Oh Frolik is another good call. Forgot he was in tonight.

Thing with Prout is, he seems like a good teammate and he captained T.J. Brodie's Barrie Colts, but who really knows what goes on in that room. For all we know, Mangiapane will come out with the "C" tonight and we'll all be left scratching our heads.

Why?
Let's be honest...they are irrelevant. It is a meaningless game against an irrelevant team.

pretty amazing to look at the standings and see that every time that is in a playoff position has a positive goal differential. Only one team that has a positive stat is in the non playoff list and all the negative teams are missing the playoffs...

Yeah I’d be more pissed if one of the top 4 got hurt playing the Oilers.

Let’s be honest they aren’t good at much but they still have some effective goons

Please sit Hamonic the rest of the season.

If there is one guy that needs the rest its him!

Let these practice like they play to keep them sharp, but they don't need to be getting hit for the next week.

I would rather not have lucic and the kassian taking runs at our top guys when they don't need to be out there at all.
It wouldn't surprise me to hear that they're still out for revenge over Bennett pushing mcdavid over earlier in the season.

We can't lose to them. Otherwise the Edmonton is No Good thread is irrelevant. Besides wouldn't scoring double digits on them feel good before the playoffs?
No mercy.

Also we play the Oilers on Saturday. Game 1 isn't until Thursday. You can get a lot of rest in 5 days!

I agree with the above poster that the treliving interview on 960 was the most relaxed I’ve heard him, and easily the most open I’ve heard him in an interview. Definitely a must listen

The thing is, we can lose to them. It is an irrelevant game. The team earned that.

Not that it is much of conversation anymore, but I think Monahan still being in the lineup tonight pretty much confirms that there probably never was an injury, and he was just in his own head

The Oilers’ effort level against Anaheim was essentially zero, when they still had a whole lot better mathematical chance that they do now. The Oilers will have packed it in long before Saturday.

You're forgetting, it's the time of year Connor and Drai will be hunting for points.

I think we can rest our top 4 D and still beat the Oilers... I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

Lol I want the flames to give zero effort in that game against the oilers. Just play shinny out there. Try some fancy dangles and behind the back passes. Play without a goalie too. Just so they know that they are irrelevant and not even worth the effort. Oh and laughing in the Oiler player's faces.

Don't forget that the Oilers have the World Championships coming up. I'd bet McDoodle and his buddy will want to stay cool so they can go over and pretend they are Captain Canada and the German Superman.

Great to be in a position where players can just rotate by sitting out over the next 3 games.
