Thats what they look like. Not bad a little cheap on the spices.
I made my self the instant noodle package and some Nachos like the saddle dome.
Cheese wiz tex mix or something on the lines of that. Brings back some good moments from the dome.

Steamed Chicken Breast with Garlic/Ginger Sauce
1. Dice some ginger root (about size of your thumbnail worth) and garlic (however much you'd like).
2. Sprinkle black pepper on to chicken breast.
3. Marinate chicken breast with 1 1/2 teaspoons of chinese cooking wine (available at any asian supermarket) and light soya sauce (add however much you'd like --- if you want more sauce, use more soya sauce).
4. Add diced ginger and garlic to the chicken breast.
5. Steam for 20-25 minutes and enjoy!
Add some broccoli and green onions to the dish and steam for the last 5 minutes for veggies! Serve with rice.

I do a splendid "toast" with "cheez whiz" on Saturday mornings.
Meanwhile, for serious gourmands, Mrs. Cowperson boils racks of pork ribs and then and only then, when the meat is practically falling off the bones, does she throw them on the barbeque. But the key tip there is boiling them before barbecuing.
Fantasticly tender.
And that's all I've got to say about that.

I made someself some Fancy KD the other night. Did up the KD as per normal then put it in a big bowl. Put a combination of crumbled rippled chips, bacon bits and cheeze on top of the KId and put 'er in the oven until the chips had nicely browned and the cheeze melted.
Damn. It was good.

When making meatballs...add some mozzoralla cheese into the meat before you roll them into ball. It taste great and helps to keep them moist.

Cow personally I have done that (boiling the ribs before) and I have found that they get somewhat soggy when they are are the BBQ and then it is more of a mush meat than good ribs. Do you know for how long she boils them for because I have the sneaking suspicion that it where I am going wrong.
But if I can ever dig up the recipe for it (with some personal modifications) I will post the best teriyaki BBQ chicken pizza you could ever imagine. It tastes somewhat sweet and you have to add onions and a few other ingredients (I personally like pineapples and sometimes if I want to mix it up I will put some feta cheese on the pizza). The real trick though comes in the pizza dough, it is made by hand and it is so thin yet so light. The only way to describe it is heavenly devine. Also a very important thing to remember when cooking is it is allright to experiment, such as add a smidgit of something as simple as basel and you could come up with something that is just yummy.
Hmmm that sounded really gay. But of the few things I am good at cooking is one of them.... I would make someone a great wife I just realized... some of my tallents include painting, cleaning, cooking.... dear god.

Nice thread.
I'm a big proponent of the baguette cut in half with tons of butter slapped on and just eating the whole thing.
I also make some mean cinnamon buns. They're the best ones I've ever tasted.
I can cook very well, I took cooking in high school all five years, I just don't because I'm lazy.
For my grade 12 cooking exam I made chicken kiev, sushi, foccacia bread served with balsamic vinegar and peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream. Damn was that a good meal.
Not much of a pastry chef though. I can't handle the dryness of the dough. Yeast doughs though I can make really well, ie my cinnamon buns.

My apologies to you Mean Mr. Mustard.
When I asked Mrs. Cowperson this morning how long she boils ribs she threw her hands up to her face and cried in horror!!
"I don't boil my ribs!! I bake them!!" she said.
So, I sit here red-faced and shamed.
She wouldn't be specific as to how long she might bake them since it will vary with the quantity but the key is to slow bake them.
I found this link which appears to illustrate the point with some guidance.
http://www.hub-uk.com/cooking/tipsBBQribs.htm
All I can add is that Mrs. Cowperson is a monster cook, one of those infuriating people who can simply throw things together without scarcely a glance at a cookbook and produce the most amazing results. A green thumb in the kitchen so to speak.
But I will never misrepresent her again!!
Cowperson

Not really a "tip" per se, but last night i had what i would consider the best restaurant meal of my life.
The blond celebrated another year of living (im not allowed to say birthday) and i took her to a place we had never been before. Its a chain called the Bonefish Grill.
At any rate, they specialize in seafood and fish (obviously), and being normally a steak and potato guy when eating out, i was hesitant to try one of their specialties, but i decided to take a chance. Glad I did.
Im not one for the fancy fish...so i ordered a rainbow trout covered in thermidor sauce....wow.
Chunks of lobster cooked in sherry and cream...over fresh trout. Simply the best thing ever. Im going to see if i can find a recipe for the sauce as it woud be good on ANY fish i believe.
Anyone here able to make one of these things?

Ok that would work quite well actually. Personally when I make ribs or anything like that I will usually let them marinade in a sauce (or combination of sauces) for quite a while and then I will put them on the BBQ. I really works out quite well and then if you have left over streak it is often quite tender so you can make the best and I mean best Steak Sandwiches known to man. Also you have to do some other stuff with the meat like pound it into oblivian but boy oh boy does it taste good.
Also I will be honest with you the things I am not good at making are seafood. Whenever I make it I find it comes out really rubbery... yuck.

Whenever I get the late night munchies, I cook up some scrambled eggs and bacon, slap it between two slices of wonderbread with a slice of cheese, grill it again in a pan with some butter and eat it with a little bit of ranch dressing...mmmm. I also dip my McChicken sandwiches in sweet and sour sauce. I think it's delicious. And I like eating pancakes with chocolate nutella spread.

Now you've got me craving crêpes.
Healthy alternatives for munchies or part of meals:
-Yogourt with granola in it, or other cereal.
-Fruit salad... raid your fridge and put whatever you've got in there. (Though I guess in the winter variety is pretty much cut down...)
-Cut up some banana, mix in with peanut butter and rice crispies (or other small cereal)
- Got some bread lying around that suddenly isn't so fresh anymore? Harden it a bit in the oven, drizzle olive oil on it, cut up some nice tomatoes, sprinkle with a little salt. (You can also buy the perfect bread for it, "freselle". Lina's and other Italian food stores have them. But really, anything goes.)

There are a number of French girls in my building and they eat that daily, it seems. And like all French people they stay skinny.
