Pretty much, they generally haven't picked defensemen in very high positions with the only top 10 selections being Juolevi being Herter (8th), Brad Ferrence (10th), Bryan Allen (4th), and Luc Bourdon (10th). Maybe using higher selections has a higher risk of not paying off, but the approach that the team had been going with for the past 35 years hasn't been working either.

Although anyone with eyes could tell you that Tkachuk is a hell of a hockey player.

during the WCE days, i loathed the canucks... just a lot of players to hate, like kessler, lapeirre, Torres, cooke, burrows...

not sure if its their slide, but i haven't had that same level of animosity towards them...

i like Pettersson (currently) and was disappointed when van picked hughes, as i think he's a really good player.

I hate Vegas, Anahiem and Edmonton more than Van.

I actually kinda like them with Pettersen, Boeser, Horvat and Hughes as good pieces to build around.
