It was off a won faceoff. He skated into the pressure.

Knew there would be one guy with this. Wide open guy in the slot with a pass from behind the net. Monahan scores a ton like that.

Brodie lost the puck and boards battle on that goal. However the man in front(Staal) was not picked up. That goal is on the centerman who I believe was Monahan. If not mony someone should have picked up the open man. Can’t always fault the dman.

Could even say Gio could have been there in front too.

Iced the puck then lost possession behind the net. So yes, all on him.

Flames have to ignore that and play their game.

Forward is supposed to help him out in that situation. Two d-men should never be behind the net unless you're the Oilers.

I assumed they were joking blaming that on Smith. Has to be kidding.

Monahan left his guy to try and check the guy Brodie lost, who would have just stepped out front otherwise.

The forward was in the corner waiting for the pass. Giordano was in the other corner waiting for a pass. Its a set breakout off a won faceoff. No one is covering the front of the net on a breakout.

Flames looking good so far. Unfortunately our only mistake ended up in the back of the net. Just gotta keep pushing like they are, and we've got this.

Is this the first time the flames have trailed in the past 7 games?

I like that tight camera showing the puck battle.

Gaudreau has some edge and zip tonight. Predict a good game out of him.
