Marc was a great colour commentary guy! His pronunciation of names is also spot on

Cripes. How about 'our roster is terrible, even more so now that we just traded away any of our decent players'?

F' off.... Seriously? That's what his message was? I would have reminded him that he's the one that makes hockey decisions.

Kind of surreal Crawford is getting another shot at a head coaching gig in the NHL. Not in a good way either.

Cause this firing has owner decision written all over it.

Until then, at the very least, nothing will change for that franchise.

Its a remarkable 2 or 3 years this team has gone though both on and off the ice.
100% this is the owner fuming after a loss to a team almost as bad as the Sens (and maybe mad about not challenging offside on the empty netter).

Oh, Jake Edwards has been campaigning furiously on his TSN 1040 Saturday show in Vancouver to get Crawford the HC job in Seattle. He has been all in on this bizarre crusade.

Just stop.

Despite the dysfunction, the Senators have at least proven they can re-build, tear down and repeat by making semi respectable trades and competent hockey decisions at times.

The Oilers and their merry band of idiots just dump their pants every time they breathe. They are in a level completely of their own.

Agree. The Oilers have no equivalent. Calling the Sens the Oilers of the East is a compliment to the Oilers. They only wish they could be run as poorly as Ottawa. What a massive step up that would be.

I don’t need to rehash it but, just look at the unbelievable ineptitude of the Oilers organization over the last 10+ years. The fact that they’ve been this inept despite having the best possible drafting position multiple times, not to mention drafting “generational” talent Connor McDavid- it is very astonishing... unparalleled no goodness, across all sports.

The Senators, as pathetic as they currently are now, at least tend to be able to draft and develop players, and tend to shows signs of success every once in a while. Hell, with 11 playoff rounds won in their history, they've probably been one of the more successful Canadian playoff teams in the last couple of decades. Definitely more than the Flames at least.

I'd hire Boucher or even TMac over Crawford.

I expect that job is Q's, if he wants it.

Senators are without a doubt one of the worst run franchises in this league. Pretty crazy that they were a game away from the finals only two years ago ... the speed with which they've self-destructed is truly amazing. Terrible owner, bad GM and a locker room that blew itself up.

I fully understand wanting a new coach for the rebuild, but firing Boucher at this point is bush league. They are 5 points behind the Kings and pretty much have an AHL roster, it's not like Crawford will be able to prevent the sad fact that Colorado is going to pick at 4 or higher.

I think he's ridiculously overrated.
And the year before he took a meh group to the Eastern final.
