I think Schlemko will find a team to take him. His contract is a bit of a deterrent, but he isn't terrible.

He would have been a better pick up for the Oilers than Petrovic or Manning at that price.

Watching that shootout reminds me of how sick Joe Colborne was in that event. Sick hands for a big man.

The shootout reminds me of those ridiculous penalty shots in the NASL.



Like the NHL is some second rate pro league and they are like "look at me look at me! we are doing something new and different!"

I'd have been surprised if anyone claimed him off waivers with that contract. If Schlemko's moved, he'll have some salary retained.

And it won’t be this year. No one wants to be tied to a 7th dman going into next year.
