Van Biesbrouck should be in forced retirement with Kramer.

Martin Pospisil hitting hard.
I’m not watching the game but seems a tad bit critical to call out two 4th round picks for not being dangerous enough vs a team as stacked as the Americans. Especially given that one guy in the USHL and has never played competition like this before

Not paying attention, but are we talking about admitted racist John Vanbiesbrouck? Because I'd tend to agree with Magnum PEI if that's the case.

Pretty sad attempt by Slovakia the last 3-4 minutes of that game. I know goal differential is huge in this tournament, but to not even try and pull the goalie and try to get the tying goal ugh just ugly as far as I’m concerned. Play to win. As far as the flames prospects go I didn’t notice them all to much in the little I watched. Pospisil is definitely a physical player though no question. Hopefully him and Ruzicka show some more offensive punch the next few games. Thought Roman looked alright too.

These yearly blowout games sure are tough to watch though. Feel for the Dane goalie. Just getting peppered all game long with not much help.

Anyone else thinking this game is way too easy and it could hurt them later?

Surprised Denmark pulled their goalie after only 11 goals.

Checked the TSN app.

14-0? Why is this game even being played? Who is watching this trash?

Denmark played decently in the first but it was absolute domination after that.

The Canadian team doesn’t have many returnees and big stars. I think it’s good for them to show their strength early so that they can get early momentum. Had they won 2-1, people would be asking some tough questions.

as was mentioned in the pregame, a game like this cannot answer any questions but it can raise some. Glad it was a dominant performance.

We’ve seen an increase in NHL players from non-traditional hockey countries such as Denmark, Norway, Austria, and Germany. I think the WJHC is beneficial in giving these players a chance to be seen on a bigger stage. I think it is a positive to have these lesser teams in the tournament.

I also love when a non traditional country takes out Russia or the US.

the point of the U20 tournament is the develop hockey players around the world, not necessarily who wins the tournament (although it's still nice for the big nations to win).

There are 7 divisions of junior hockey in the IIHF.
