Ugh. BOTH GOALIES have to play. That’s how the coaches have set the rotation, and this is how it works out. Without the start today Mike Smith would be out of action for a full fourteen days minimum. That’s too long. This is simply smart planning with the holiday break coming up.

Not to mention BSD is a better road then home goalie . So makes sense to give him the road starts

After going stride for stride against the Lightning, the Blues are going to feel like an AHl team.

Flames win 5-1 (Dancer, Prancer, Comet, Blitzen, Neal).

GFG!

Neither goalie has been especially good at home.

Home
Smith - 3.35 / .868
Rittich 3.18 / .882

Both have been competent on the road

Road
Smith - 2.55 / .911
Rittich - 1.71 / .946

I can't say where quality of opponent factors into that without a deeper dive, but there's something about the dome that causes high scoring affairs.

6-0 Flames. Neal scores all 6 as well as assists on all 6 of his goals. He then takes over for Smith and provides a 60 save shut out. He single handedly goes 10/10 on the PK and fights 5 Blues, knocking them all out. Finally, he goes 20/20 on faceoffs.

^ When he comes out on the ice with a power moustache rivaling Bennett’s, we know this shall come to pass.

Excited to see the boys put out a strong effort. After dropping the last two they better come out with a guns blazing. If they play to their ability they should stomp them.

Bruins beat the Preds 5-2 so now Nashville has lost 4 in a row helping us in the conference standings. Just need to shake off those pesky Jets who keep winning.

Okay, but what is the score going to be at the end of the game? That’s just the first period.

Could be a reason why they are struggling to meet expectations. Too much partying the night before games will definitely handicap a team.

I didn't even know this game was on yet. Afternoon games are the worst.
