Spoiler!

Solid road win! Who is this team that now has the ability to turn on the offence and blow teams out consistently?? Is this the Flames? Wow, Brad Treliving must sleep well at night now that he knows where the goals are coming from.

LOL @ the Janko 2nd goal. Literally Janko vs 3 Coyotes+goalie and tucks it in. Nice play.

Bill Peters is a beast. Puck to the face, comes back minutes later. Tough as nails, and no question about who the boss is. With every passing game it looks more and more like BT got this hiring right. I don't know what 'Canes fans had with him, but sign me up for Bill Peter's hockey!

Also shoutout to the young kids at the start who are undergoing cancer treatment. Always warms my cold heart when I see just how brave those kids are. It takes a ton of strength and resiliency for ANYBODY to go up against cancer, let alone being a kid who has their whole life ahead of them and being diagnosed with it.

Edmonton and Arizona are the cautionary tail of fans beliefs in teams sewering for high draft picks and it will eventually make their team competitive.

all that you get is young players, no chemistry and a eventual terrible cap situation that makes you start over again.

Oh and our young bright money balling GM has 43 more losses then wins.

Nice to see the resilience from the team.

And maybe put some responsibility/credit on Brodie too. He played poorly for 2 years and is playing great now.

So far a great rare day off! Now if the Stamps don't take a dump and the Coilers be Coilers I can drink to celebrate instead of drink to mourn!

Yeah but ARI really never had the picks EDM had so I think its a disservice to compare them.

ARI has drafted top 4 once in recent memory and potentially did screw it up taking Strome while Marner, Hanifin, Provorov and Werenski were on the board. But other than that they really haven't had a lot of high picks. They drafted Keller the year after and that pick seems fine. Way too early to judge last years pick.

ARI's reasons for failing are a lot different then EDM's. ARI can only dream of drafting talent like Hall and McDavid.

Always nice when the Yotes pay Smith to beat them and Broken Arrow avoids CP for a couple weeks

The net gain from the Hamilton trade is insane. Not just the two players coming in outperforming the two that went out, but the way if affected the rest of the roster and how those slid into place is just, pure joy. I want to say this may be the 3rd best trade in Flames history! #1 of course being the ultimate game change in the Kipper trade and #2 being the Niewy for Iggy trade.

Actually, the best trade in Flames history, bar none, was Mike Bullard for Doug Gilmour and Mark Hunter. But this one is right up there among the leaders.

(Honourable mention to Beers, Bourgeois, and Cavallini for Johnson, Wilson, and Joey Mullen. And of course Lever and Macmillan for some guy with a moustache.)

After what that guy put us through, it's going to be a lot longer than 24 games. Especially because the reasons people were so frustrated with him are manifesting themselves in these games we're watching the Flames dominate and win. I mean, who knew Brodie could play RD? All of us? Except "Gully"?

Two years of worse-than-B.Sutter-hockey affords fans two years of saying good riddance to GG.
