Everybody is so passive. I think flames usually play bad when they go east coast Toronto area. I guess most of players have other things out of ice events. Not rwally in the game today.

Bad PK.

Worse PP.

Time for Czarnik to come in and Bennett to sit.
Fixed.

Agree on the first part.

I know we won't agree on the second part.

My Bottom 6:

Neal Ryan Czarnik
Dune Janko Dube

Three things that make no sense:

1) Derek Ryan on third line
2) Derek Ryan with 3 minutes of PP time
3) Derek Ryan contract

That was pathetic. They looked like they where on a binge last night... If it wasn’t for Rittich, it would have been 6-2....

Can't believe we didn't try to beat the crap out of Domi at the end there. Weak team is weak.

Neal is having a tremendously difficult time so far. But I feel like once we get him going and playing clutch this team turns it around more consistently.

Flames also need look like they have week o-zone entries, Montreal seems to push their way in way more than Calgary did all game.

The loss was a team effort...outside of Rittich and Backlund who held the Flames in it and made the score look flattering. This was not a close 3-2 game.

Gotta hand it to Carey Price, first time the Flames have been held under 3 goals since the season-opener.

Outplayed in the first, dominated in the second, then a fairly good pushback period in the third. As much as I don't think the Flames played well, credit has to go to the Canadiens who had a fantastic first 40 minutes. I'm not going to worry too much, even though this is the first game that I really thought they deserved to lose. Feel bad for Rittich though who did all they could ask for.

The Flames D core looked weak tonight and this was the first game I thought Valimaki struggled. The Flames PP is dreadful right now... I really wish they would embrace the idea of taking one-timers

I'm curious to see how the game against the Penguins goes. Hopefully this is a big wake up call and we see a much better effort throughout.

Just wanted to say, congrats TJ for playing your 500th NHL game tonight. And as far as the earlier penalty, since you've taken 134 penalty minutes in your entire career with the Calgary Flames.. (In case anyone who is 'brainless' (like TJ) wants to know, that's an average of .26 per game played), I am very proud of you for dropping the jackwad who threw you down when the refs weren't looking. It was a dirty, cheap BS thing to do. I love the way you never lose your cool, but once in awhile it's nice to see some fire. (Derek was cussing at the television hoping you'd decapitate the jackass but he was satisfied with the hit..) (As far as me.. well maybe next time you go the extra mile...)

Also, I've really enjoyed watching you play for Calgary over the past 500 games, being in the top 3-8 players for TOI for the past five years, in the NHL. I appreciate your time, effort, constant work for charity to end Cystic Fibrosis and MS, and being part of an important community and donating money and time to both causes. You are a quiet kid but your heart is huge.

Good on you kid. Let the bi-polar bozos who love you one minute and hate you the next get back to serving the donuts and coffee while you continue to play your ass off for years to come (I hope), and make millions of dollars being a defensive workhorse (truly an accomplishment, the consistent TOI and effort). I hope to continue watching you in the NHL for years, and I know for a fact that all of your family and friends feel the same way.

Congrats again, bratface. Love you to pieces, and soooo fn proud of the work you do on, and off the ice.

500 games... WOW. <3

I don't know what the hell that was, aside from pathetic. Time for Bill Peters to do what he was brought here to do, and turn this s*** show upside down. Montreal is not a good team, and they completely dominated us. They should be embarrassed. I sure as hell hope that next home game, if they play like that, the fans have the decency to boo the s*** out of them. So mad right now!

Team loss totally. No one is the goat because they were all awful. Hate the non calls but that is NHL reffing nowadays. Sure hope they are embarrassed enough to actually play on Thursday.

T.J. Brodie doesn't worry me. He's been slightly-above-average, save for his awful yet infrequent mistakes.

Noah Hanifin is who really worries me. He's been consistently quite poor. He's almost bad-Brodie-level bad on a consistent basis. Like, eeeyikes.

I feel the exact same thing was said about Brouwer.

I'm really concerned that Neal had some great chances, and didn't burry them. That's what he was brought in for, and paid $5M to deliver.

He's gonna be a whipping boy real quick if he doesn't start producing goals on his chances.

Refs shagged the dog in that one. Flames weren't great but lots of slewfoots... Trips... Brodie getting slammed to the ice right before his dumb retaliation just like the one on Pettersson everyone was so outraged about. Super late hit by everybody's little golden boy byron on hathaway and that unnecessary hit by plastic toughguy Domi at the buzzer just wrapped up the ######baggery nicely.

No amount of goons gonna save you in a game like this where the refs just let the cheapshots and trips go.

The coach's presser following this one should be interesting. We haven't seen Peters get angry yet, and outside of Rittich I'm sure he must be disappointed with his team right now.

Flames looked lethargic out there. 2 periods of skating in wet cement.

I won't even fault Brodie for that bad penalty - at least that was a push-back.

When the other team plays physical, the Flames don't seem to respond very well. I like the skill and speed on this team (though you wouldn't notice it tonight), but there seems to be a glaring lack of toughness.

I don't even have a problem with the Brodie penalty, he took a bit of a cheapshot and responded.

It wasn't much of a hit either, Drouin dove hard.
