Curious. Do you think that medical marijuana means you smoke big doobies every 45 min and that's the only way to take said medication?

I would assume most of the security staff are around and it wouldn't take much to have a couple security scan people out and in like they do normally.
I assume you'd need some security people to accommodate people who get their late, but you wouldn't need all doors open all night, just the main entrances.

I think you are likely correct, the cost wouldn't vary all that much.

I think this is more about the Flames joining the 21st century and doing what everyone else is doing.

You mean it isn't?

Cheech and Chong will be so disappointed.

Well I won't be going to games anymore. I'm going to save a ton of money.

Quit smoking instead. You'll save even more, live longer and be healthier...

Honestly, you go through security to get in, and again when you come back from the smoke pit. I fail to see why it’s such a safety threat to provided an area for some smokers.
Lots of things are legal. It doesn't mean you get to leave and do them and then come back in. This means they can have less security at the door and also don't have to monitor whether smokers are staying far enough from the doors.

Just for comparison:

Edmonton in 2016: https://globalnews.ca/news/2931038/e...-rogers-place/

Winnipeg in 2017: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/manit...licy-1.4097889

Toronto in 2017: https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toron...ures-1.4297834

A lot of stadiums in the US have also implemented a bag policy -- i.e. maximum allowed is a 14x14x6 clear bag. Looks like some arenas in Canada have followed suit (although it doesn't have to be clear).

You can also smoke inside most public places. And drink. Vegas is a different animal.

Yep. I'll be going to games in Vegas more often than in Calgary for sure. I'm down there at least 3 times during the season.

I've already witnessed people smoking in the bathrooms, vaping in their seats, in the concourse or in the bathroom.

Probably just see more of that sadly, unless they plan to implement more security walking the stadium, preferably guards who aren't north of 50+

That really makes zero difference on smoking to be the least convenient and effective way to enjoy a high during a concert. Retail or medical, it’s still for fools.

Easy there. You should know all 3 methods produce different results.

100% prefer smoking. No question. Vaping drys the #### out of your throat and I am certain that 20 years from now it will be determined it is at least equally as bad as smoking, if not more so. And injesting it is on a whole other level.

Also what are you vaping? Juice? Straight oil? Ground flower?

Agree to disagree #vapelife

Rando edibles from your dealer, yeah, crapshoot, but I’ve found that you can hammer down the zone you want to be in and for how long with the right THC/CBD levels in terms of ingestibles.

I really don’t think vaping will ever been as bad as smoking though. It’s not good for you, but I believe most of the studies so far point to the opposite (at most as bad, if not less so).

Either way, you can definitely enjoy your cannabis at a show without breaking rules or disturbing your neighbors, if that’s what you want to do.

Well to begin with I don’t think there are any conclusive studies that smoking it at all is ‘bad’ for you. And yes I am talking about labeled legal medical edibles. I know my levels but really don’t enjoy it as much as smoking. Almost prefer the 45min high... as much as I had thought it would be nice to prolong it.

Anyways, we all knew it was coming, but as others have pointed out it’s just going to lead to more vaping inside. Which is far from odourless.

Yeah, vaping is just less annoying smoking (or more, if you’re the type of person into vape tricks). If you’re doing it inside you’re still being a jerk.

Which LP do you get your legal medical edibles from?

Definitely a less offensive smell. But still offensive. I’d rather sit next to someone smoking a joint than vaping some artificial watermelon flavour and pumping out bigger clouds than I could produce with a gravity bong.
