The Disappearance of Saturday Morning
Saturday morning no longer means kids in front of TV sets across the country, glued to the latest in hip cartoons. Why? Gerard Raiti investigates the death of an era.

Welcome to the new and improved 80sCartoons.net! We aspire to be a complete reference to the animation of that wonderful decade, the 1980's. Our objective is to archive cartoon information-television series, specials, animated films, straight-to-video cartoons-everything created in the 80's.

Underdog

Underdog premiered on March 20th, 1965...........the day I was born.

Anyway, I was a big fan of Quick Draw McGraw as a child.

GI Joe and Transformers are the obvious ones, I also loved that Nintendo one where Mother Brain was the evil character. I used to get up way before school to watch the mario bros cartoon too.

One that hasn't been mentioned is that cartoon with the blue things with the fudgeed up nose, and it always started with the main one playing hockey. Wish I could remember.

Can't forget the Care Bears!

I'd have to say Tennage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the most memorable, but there were so many more classics.

C.O.P.S.
Ghostbusters
Ducktales
Garfield and Friends
Bonkers
G.I. Joe
The Super Mario Brothers Super Show

Couple of Canadian goodies (not on Saturday Morning)..

The Raccoons
You Can't Say That on Television!
Degrassi (Junior) High
Square One!

best of all time though.....

Bugs Bunny.

But that link Fotze posted for Hammie Hamster - blastphemy!

It lists the name of the mouse as Martha! When did Matty Mouse have the sex change? I thought his boat was awesome, but I really liked GP's jeep, airplane and balloon as well.

And there were the Centurions "Man and Machine! Power Xtreme!" too!
Or how about the Silverhawks? "Wings of Silver! Wings of Steel! Silverhawks!"

I could actually post the opening video to each of these cartoons if I had the time or bandwidth
