Yeah he can teach the boys how to maximize early spring golf time as he did that 14 of 17 years in the league

How many times did Iggy make the POs as a Flame? How many rounds did he win? Don’t discount what a vet can teach, even one who wasn’t that successful as a player. Anyway, how good a hockey player was Mike Babcock or Joel Quenneville or Scotty Bowman?

Easy rod.

It was a tongue in cheek comment. I apologize for trying to lighten the mood on the thread a little

If a comment about a guy who only played into late April 3 times in his career knowing something about early season golf sets you off you may need to take a little pause to reflect on why that makes you so angry.

I never attacked stajans character and think he’d be a great coach like bowman, Babcock or quennville one day

There was no need for the PO comment in a tribute thread, and if it was an attempt at a joke to “lighten the mood” it wasn’t good.

Stajan is so mediocre he outscored Bennett in 2 out of 3 of their respective first years.

There was no need to bring up Bennett in a stajan tribute thread...

I’m sorry we have different senses of humour

I'm glad the Flames will be moving on from Stajan the ice hockey player. But he's easily been one of the most valuable, contributing members to the Calgary community that I can recall. The city is better with the Stajans living here, then without them.

Him and his charitable donations/organisation have done more to positively effect the lives of citizens who live here then most people could ever dream of doing. For that reason alone, his time in Calgary was time well spent.

Enjoy the next journey in life Matty. You earned it.

Congrats Matt Stajan! You've had incredible success, managing to play a sport for a living while earning millions of dollars. However, my life, by comparison is not as successful. I would like to direct some of that bitterness to you, because you did not live up to my vision for you as a player. You did not provide me with the only joy I get out of life, which is to watch my hockey team win games.

Yes, you may be a 'good guy' and yes, you may have made it to the top 1% of success in your field... but this is meaningless to me. #### you Matt Stajan, you have hurt me deeply.

Hell of a game last night for Stajan, he sure looked like a guy who understood what it was in the 3rd period
