I am going to follow the Knights this season as my other "team" so I am going with a 6 game series win for the Knights.

Vegas in 4. Still shocking the league.

The players on the Kings seem to know how to win in the playoffs. I take LA in 6.

Line has Vegas as a small favorite (-130 to +110) over LA. That surprises me. I would've though Vegas would be a bigger favorite. 2018 Regular season success means more to me than the previous years success of the kings.

I feel like we have been waiting since November for the Knights bubble to burst and here they are starting the playoffs with home ice advantage. Kings are a playoff tested team so this could be a long series. I'm going to take the Kings in 7.

For centuries, Knights have always kneel before Kings; therefore, I see no difference in this one.
Kings in 4.

The Knights have looked more human in the 2nd 1/2 of the season. Have to look at the record more closely but it felt like they were playing a few games over .500 hockey after the all star break.
Still cheering them hard, have a huge payday coming if they win the cup as I bet right at the start.

I can't help but be impressed with Vegas. They are fast, they seem to win the majority of the puck battles, they outwork the opposition, the goal tending is great and the D is solid. To top it off, they are extremely well coached - he gets the absolute best out of the players he has. Going forward, they are going to be fun to watch.

Was going to post the same. Total team effort as there's not a single individual or passenger on that roster right now. It's going to be interesting to see how far they can take this.

Doughty will have a hearing with DOPS today for his hit on Carrier last night.

Precedent was set as that being a 2 game suspension in the regular season, with one of those suspensions being for a hit on Doughty.
My guess is he gets suspended for Game 2.

I thought he raised his shoulder to catch Carrier's head. I don't know who's in charge of recording the stats in that building for hits but the Kings were at 60 and Knights at 52 early in the 3rd period (not sure what the end tally was). The game was physical but those numbers seem artificially high.

I bet it's a fine.
Star player + playoffs + NHL = fine.

Yeah. There are tough ones to me, because although the hit wasn't OK, it also wasn't egregious. But hits to the head tend to be an all-or-nothing punishment. An in-game 2 min minor isn't really called for these. 5 and a game could have been called but perhaps considered too 'excessive' for a star player in a playoff game. Fines don't mean jack.
I don't know what the right call is, but I think 5 and a game, on its own, would have been appropriate. Now, I'm leaning towards 1 game.
