Remember when people said they wouldn't trade Monahan for MacKinnon? lol

Crowd cheering MVP after that Mackinen goal. It's hard to imagine any player making a bigger difference for their team this season than him.

No series threads yet? I’m a little surprised.

Pens vs Flyers

Jets vs Wild

Caps vs BJs

Any others confirmed?

MacKinnon is great and I could see him winning, but for me it's Taylor Hall and nobody else is really all that close. He's got 93 points and the next closest guy on his team has 52.

Before this season MacKinnon had a career high 24 goals...not really shocking people would say this last year, not everything needs to be a shot at the Flames.

Remember that up until this season. Monahan was the leading scorer from that draft. This post you've made is very thick in recency bias. And even then, Monahan still leads that draft class in goals and is #2 in points overall. only 20 points behind Mak which is roughly what hes got since Monahan was shut down.

The only way to watch the game is through Centre Ice in Canada. During the HNIC game intermission, a bit of the game could be shown. The Avalanche now lead 3-1.

Oilfan#81 used to do these until he was chased off.

Miss that guy.

Paging Scorp...your effort is required. Wish we had a tagging system on CP.

MacKinnon was always going to be the better player. Two years ago I would have traded Monahan for MacKinnon easily for the skating ability alone. The Flames don't have a single player who is that explosive or dynamic, even Gaudreau isn't all that close.

Well looks like congrats to the Avalanche. Up 3 after an empty net goal with over 3 minutes left.

Where is that hedge fund guy?

Vegas and Colorado both make the playoffs.. Who would have ever guessed that at the beginning of the year

Since you always know what's going to happen the future, can you tell us which NHL team you scout for next season?

Yes, you have to be able to predict the future to be able to tell that MacKinnon was going to be better than Monahan.

Since I've got my crystal ball out right now, here's another glimpse: Dahlin is going to be better than Hamonic. Bold, I know.

I'd go with either arrogant or stupid, myself.
