interesting...

makes some sense too considering they must be getting tired of not getting to the stanley cup ... Ovie's window is almost up....

Namestikov ? from TB is supposed to be available too...i think Calgary could kick the tires there

hmmmmmmm

Roger Millions @RogMillions
It just has a feel #Flames will do nothing today or something REALLY big. With no 1-2 Picks this year and 2-3 next draft. It can be limiting. But tantalizing players in system..

Thank you in advance to those who paste the whole tweet. As has been mentioned by a few already but some of us can't open the Twitter links.

Darren Haynes @DarrenWHaynes
One line that did pique my curiosity when Brad Treliving held his pre-deadline presser on Saturday was: "There are lots of teams talking about hockey deals. We've got players that have term remaining."

Would Calgary consider moving Michael Stone with Rasmus Andersson in-waiting?

But what can Stone get you?

I hope they do if they can get value in return. Anderson is ready!

I think if you can recoup a 2nd for Stone you take it and run. Andersson could step in right now and not hurt the team’s playoff chances a bit, kid looks good.

If Hoffman isn't doable, Stone could be an asset to strengthen bottom-six depth and maybe re-coup a pick.

So basically Zac Smith and a pick. I don't think this is unrealistic, considering the smoke around Smith in recent weeks and if Hoffman's price tag gets too large for the Flames.

Stone to Ottawa still makes sense to me.

They will need a RH shot if Karlsson does go.

His brother is an RFA and having the other brother signed might make it easier to convince him to stay.

Stone for Pageau

or

Stone++ for Hoffman are two things that keep standing out to me.

I have a bad feeling that today flames pick up veteran goaltender and then announce Smith out 5-6 weeks. To me it's starting to feel like Gio from a couple of years ago

This. A second round pick, for currency in any sort of move or to recoup one.
I'm not saying I do this deal, but it makes some sense.
I'd rather Stone move than one of the prospects.

Dunno if it's been posted but there are "tweet" tags that work if you're posting from twitter, which is better just because it acts as a link to the twitter thread.
