Just saw this on Twitter - in Chicago some fans got booted for taunting Smith-Pelly with racist things.

Probably because they suck at scoring so much that they're grasping at straws.

It may be a weird stat but when your offense is as anemic as theirs it kind of makes sense.

You get the image of a referee patting McDavid on the head and telling him that everything is going to be okay but that goal just didnt go in. Its okay. There will be other game and other goals. Its not the end of the world.

Holy crap. Wood intentionally hits him in the numbers, takes multiple strides into him and jumps in order to do it. You can't get more deliberate intent to injure. The only thing saving Namestnikov there is that he's pretty close to the boards.
