Worked 16 hours yesterday and another 8 hours this morning. As exhausted as I am right now, getting a chance to bring Santa to life for the kids I work with (cookies/milk and presents) and seeing their reactions to the gifts was priceless.
There are rough days but we can still bring the Christmas magic for others on this special day.
Merry Christmas CP!

I sometimes find people on CP far too quick to snipe and argue with each other, but this year I've been amazed at how many people were quick to offer me their advice and time both online and off throughout the year when I reached out for favours. The kindness I've encountered isn't something I would've necessarily expected from an online community and was much appreciated.
Merry Christmas to everybody!

I'm not a "Christmas Person" having long abandoned both the secular and religious rituals of the season. So no trees, lights, presents, etc. Extended family gatherings are too toxic and best avoided. I just strip it down to bare basics and spend time with those that I love,
My 81 year old mother had a stroke last week and isn't the same "Mom" that I once knew. Still, I cherish the time I have with her. And that's all that matters.
