I'm still a little butt hurt from the Oilers game... but.. it's my 36th birthday!!
6-3 for the good guys!!!
Bennett with a hat trick, Mony and Backs with the rest... and please please baby Jesus... if there is any way we could have a Elliot vs Smith goalie fight i would make it rain at a local establishment for a CP get together to relieve some of this poster negativity!

Not even gonna bother with this one tonight. Watching this team right now is just too damn frustrating.

Only change looks to be Lazar in for Stajan on the fourth line. #Flames

Now would be a good time for Lazar to show something.

I like the idea of Lazar in with Hathaway - hopefully some more energy from that line.

He’s on the 4th line, and has to carry Brouwer around. You’re expectation of “something” is too high. Simply not being a “minus” line at the end of the night would be a success.

I think this is a no win scenario.
We beat them and it is expected because they suck.
We lose and it is further proof that we suck.
Either way I'm expecting a lot of negativity.

Last year I turned 27 and the Flames beat the Ducks 8-3. One more digit on each number of my age.
That means this year, when I turn 28, the Flames will beat the Flyers 9-3.

Hopefully the Flames can get things figured out soon. I'm starting to worry they aren't actually a good team and more or less just a 'paper tiger'.
Been down that road before with this franchise, and if it turns out to be the case we are in a load of trouble, because that will call into question the guy behind the building of this team, and if he actually doesn't know what he's doing we will be in for a world of hurt.

If Brodie is still with Hamonic I've lost all hope in this coaching staff to make the most simplistic obvious decisions. Shooting youself in the foot by putting both together and helping neither of them. Could care less about this game, 3 Canadian teams coming up and this team seems to always crumble when the lights are the brightest. If they don't show up to those I really don't know what to say.

I'd really like to see Stone up with Brodie.. he played well when Hamonic was injured. Hamonic should play with Kulak for a few games.. he's just not confident now and has fallen prey to some pretty bad luck. Some time getting back to basics wouldn't hurt I don't think.

Mmmm. No. The line between these two extremes is far from "fine."

At this point, I don't even want to win, cause it'll buy GG more time.
0-6 against the Oilers, and hardly looking competitive in those games, is all that I need to see. We gifted them 8 points last season, and are well on our way to doing the same this season (10 points, actually, as we play 5 times this year).
Could you imagine, going 0-9 against the Oilers over two seasons, being the reason they were given the easy 1st Round matchup vs the Sharks in 2017, and the reason they were able to claw their way back to a wildcard spot in 2018?
GG's Flames are largely to blame for the hype machine that has exploded around the Oilers over the last 14 months.
If losing to a Flyers team that's on a 10-game losing streak is the nail in GG's coffin... then we better lose, while Treliving can still turn this season around.

There it is on twitter. No changes to the d pairings, only changes upfront are lazar/Stajan.

13-2 Flyers.
GG still doesn't call a timeout or change the pairings or his strategies.
