Freddie Hamilton has no particular one skill that makes him stand out. He creates the off offensive chance and is passable defensively, but really he's just another guy.

Glass - hits, provides energy, decent fighter.

Stajan - very good on PK, faceoffs, string defensively

Hathaway - ball of energy, can PK, will fight
I also think that Glass should have been waived. It's not hate for Glass, just disagreement with your assessment. I see Freddie throw a lot of hits too (he had 6 recorded hits in 2 games, Glass is averaging 2.3 hits/gp) and he is more versatile in that he can play C/RW. Glass may be able to fight, but I haven't seen any impact from that in the season so far. Regardless, these are bubble/pressbox players and I think that pushing Lazar down the line up is a good sign for the team.

Maybe we should trade Lack to Vegas for some of their D prospect

I like this idea but Flames probably want to see a few games of Lack before making any moves. He wasn't terrible in his first start.

Also would be better to have Parsons in the AHL and not the ECHL but I digress

With this announcement, the posters who criticized GG about the Bennett-Jankowski-Jagr practice line as "a line that could never play a game together" should be eating crow.

Yep. It was pretty clear given the extended looks they got that this was the plan all along. Keep Jankowski, jettison one of Lazar-Hamilton-Glass. For people to suggest it couldn't happen was entirely pessimistic.

I thought it was obvious that everyone meant "could never play a game of Connect 4 together" as they would have too many players.

The Flames need depth players who can actually produce. Finding a way to make room for a Janko/Bennett line to succeed should be a priority. I like this move. The Flames have enough grinders. They need to get their skill prospects going.

Who said they could never play together? No one said that.

They were practicing together, and it wasn’t possible to play them together on a line the next game, which was the next day.

(I suppose it was technically possible to have them play together if you happened to send Tkachuk back to Junior - where it would have impossible to recall him)

Hopefully Dougie’s game doesn’t slip. I’ve seen him with the guys before when they’re out as a team and he seemed awfully quiet and uncomfortable around them. Hopefully he’s found a guy or 2 on the team who he’s become closer to since then.

Seriously if this is a problem for Dougie - he can go for 1st rounder and 2 2nd rounders to some bottom feeder team.

Freddie had to go - because if the rumours are true that he was on the roster to please Dougie - that ain't going over well in the dressing room meritocracy - which might explain why Dougie isn't 'comfortable' with his peers.

Right move as Janko is best 3rd line center option. Now hopefully he can start producing with Jagr on wing. Zero points and not too effective since call up.

Why? He's just fine warming a seat in the press box.
