Did a couple days at big white here. Great conditions and I love the hill. Lines were pretty long in the morning but then people spread out and they were fine after lunch.

the wife and I had a date day yesterday at nakiska, as we wanted a bit of a tune up for a mini-vacation we are taking in lake louise in February.

I thought conditions were solid and we felt like we had a lot of open terrain up until around 11.

it was the fist time I was skiing with my garmin on to track our data, and I found it was interesting. spent out time on the silver and gold chairs, got in a total of 13 runs that took almost 60 minutes and we covered 25kms. I very briefly reached 100 kph (I wish I could remember where, but I'd assume it was near the bottom of the run with the lift in site), but our average speed (not surprisingly was around 26kph).

I was stunned to see that we skied almost contiuously from 9 am until 1.30ish with one bio break and lunch for 30 minutes and all we got was one hour of of ski time.

I was sad to have to have ordered myself a new pair of ski pants with a second X in the size; however, it was nice to not have pants cutting into my waist.

Fernie has been getting absolutely dumped on. It's been a good month. Now we just need a few days where the light isn't flat as balls. Spent the entirety of yesterday in the trees. I bet the alpine is amazing but you can't see the ground, so...

Fernie has been a blast this year. I lost count on my days, but I figure maybe 20 so far? Anyway.

I've timed more rope drops this year than any other year in my life. Hit Cedar Bowl Saturday after a meter of snow and no one in it because of avi closures. I was the FIRST guy down it, and it probably rates as one of the top 5 runs of my life. Yesterday I timed snake ridge, and was probably 7 or 8th down it after timing the rope drop and channeling my inner skier cross. Some of the deepest in-bounds snow I've ever been in.

I have a sled parked 30 minutes from the hill but why bother with all that work when you don't have to!!!

I'm almost tempted to go back tonight and hit it tomorrow AM......again.

i have never skied fernie, but would like to. to me, Fernie is the ultimate outdoor place to live as the biking there is great, and the skiing looks awesome. and let's not forget about big bang bagels.

if i ever won the lottery, I'd buy a place there (ridgemont area) within an hour of receiving the novelty sized cheque

Another bump for Fernie.

Amazing terrain, not far away, and they are getting absolutely #### on with snow this year.

Anyone out this weekend anywhere?

Going to Castle for the first time this weekend. Hope this dump of snow we got fell out there too.

And picking up a brand new board today for the first time in 15 years, so pumped for this weekend!
