Taking a while to get to 5000

Boomer again saying on Twitter that Stajan and the Flames need to have a talk. "Near impossible to justify a spot for him". He was saying the same thing this morning. I really wonder if he has some sort of inside info or if this is just the drum he's banging.

Ya, I really don't get how F Hamilton is still on this team.

It’s just a drum he’s been beating for a few weeks. IMO Stajan has earned the right to start the season with the club. If his play drops off from last season he may have to get used to being a scratch on a rotational basis. Not much else you can do with him because of his contract.

Alot of speculation that there is a trade to be made with some of the extra forwards; Anybody think that there is a deal to be had with Vegas for a #6 defensemen for some of the extra forward pieces we have? They have a bunch of them, and it dosen't seem like they have waived any today.....

I could see Lazar and Stajan moving on.

Makes a lot of sense. The youngster that impressed most (Jankowski) plays the same position as Staj. The Flames also acquired another young centre (Lazar) that also plays the same position as Staj. Paying over 3 milly for a 12-14th forward doesn't make a lot of sense. Surely Stajan could get more opportunity on a team that is thinner at centre.
Would Stajan want to go though? Presumably he's already named the teams he doesn't or does want to be traded to with his limited NTC?

Bartowski has been good with Stone in his last two pre-season games and no other left-handed Defensemen beat him for the spot.
Hamilton will be in the press box for most of the season, just like last season.
Not sure why it's hard to understand.

Not sure how much the NTC means, if the alternative is Stockton. I hope a deal could be made, but I don't see how much interest there would be, unless the Flames eat some salary and/or add a sweetner.

O.K. there has been a lot of talk on whether or not MacTavish has actually done a good job for us, most fans on this board are very basic in their analysis and I feel would change their opinion entirely if the team was successful.

Gulutzan does not have the fortitude to send Dougies brother to Stockton, and is going to sign Glass (because of previous ties like Vey last year) . This is totally unfair as it means Jankowski our best prospect who totally earned a spot and would make a difference to this team and can actually score goals will get sent to the farm for more seasoning which is totL garbage as he is ready now.

I would highly question wether Kulak can stick in the NHL. I'll believe it when I see it.

Yeah, the signing of Vey sure prevented Tkachuk from getting an NHL spot.
