No third option for me when I click the link, just yearly or monthly options.
Thinking of going for nhl.tv again this year but using a vpn to get around the blackouts.

I can't see that third option either, like UKflames said.
Can you tell me what price is attached to it?

For these regional games, you must be in a team’s broadcast territory in order to watch their regional games in Sportsnet NOW. For example: if you are in British Columbia, you are in the Vancouver Canucks territory and can watch all 46 regional games that the Canucks play on Sportsnet Pacific, in addition to every national game the Canucks play, totaling all 82 games of their season.
|
Out of curiosity, how do you access to the Flames games aired on CBC, City, and Sportsnet Flames? Wouldn't you need access to those channels to truly be able to watch all 82 regular season games?
I have access to Sportsnet NOW connected to my cable subscription and I only see the 4 regional Sportsnets, One, 360, and World. Does a standalone Sportsnet NOW subscription give you more channels?

I live in San Francisco, so maybe it's not available in Calgary yet, but YouTube TV is my go to for all my Flames games.

Interesting, how does it work? It streams live channels I guess, so all the NHL channels are part of it?

Yea it depends on your area, but they have deals with the broadcasters like NBC or whoever and you can just watch those games. The best part is you choose the team and set it to record and it'll record all the games for you to watch.

The stupid part of this is there are easy ways to do this illegally.
They really gotta get this figured out better.

Does anyone have experience with Rogers Game Centre Live? I just cut my cable but am hoping to find a way to stream Flames games through my ps4. The amount of regional blackouts is a lot but you still get 36 national broadcasts and all of the playoffs.
The yearly subscription is pricey but still far less than the bill I was paying every month for cable I didn't use.

1. Use your parent's Shaw/Telus userid and password and watch Snet Now for free.
2. The odd blackout, go to the neighborhood pub.
3. Profit.

I am out of market, so NHL.tv is outstanding.
Inside the Calgary market, you may be better off with SNET Now, for Flames broadcasts anyway.

I get it free with my phone package. The blackouts were an issue last year more than before. But between Rogers and my Bell satellite mobile app I could see most games.

Just switch between telus and shaw every 6 months to get the promotional rates.
Keep the gear to make the switch even quicker.

Thanks - I had SNET NOW in the past. Is there a way to get it up and working with the ps4? Don't want to have to just watch on my phone.

I do it guilt free. My dad watches a ton of TV so the subscription is there anyway. What's the big deal if I just wet my beak 40 to 50 times a year?

Configure your router to use open DNS. Last year it made NHL think I was in Vancouver. So I could watch games on my TV. For my phone I had to use SNet Now.
