Colorado Iggy this past season, yes. LA Kings Iggy? Didn't look done to me. Certainly doesn't look to have Jagr's logevity though.
I suspect he'll knock down someone's door and nab a spot on a PTO if it comes to it.

Iginla will never take a PTO. If he doesn't find a job before camps open, he will walk away.
That said, I can see a team like St. Louis or Dallas calling on him.
I would take him back on the Flames as well. It appears both sides have moved on and I'm cool with it. I just have to keep telling myself that.

Jagr had 33 ES points in 2016-17. When was the last season our current over-25 wingers or available UFA options had 33 even strength points or greater?
Frolik - 2016-17 - 33 ES points
Jagr - 2016-17 - 33 ES points
Hudler - 2015-16 - 36 ES points
Iginla - 2014-15 - 46 ES points
Stafford - 2014-15 - 33 ES points
Versteeg - 2011-12 - 35 ES points
Doan - 2011-12 - 35 ES points
Brouwer - Never
Chiasson - Never
Take away the fact that he is older than Gaudreau/Bennett combined and no longer a generational superstar and you still have a forward who can help this team score goals, perhaps on a line with two heavier forwards like Tkachuk and Monahan or two speedier forwards to offset his diminished speed, like Bennett/Gaudreau, or something in the middle.

I don't see any downside to BT signing Jagr for 1 year @ $3M as the Top6 RW stopgap. Even if his skills somehow diminish this summer to the point where he can't deliver Top9 production, he can definitely teach Monahan a few things about the game.

A benefit for Jagr is he doesn't hurt you while he's on the ice. He was still a plus player last season. I'm against this nonsense of bringing in has beens, but if you do, Jagr is the much better option.

I think Jagr still doesn't want to play in the west because of the travel. But doesn't seem like any east teams are even approaching him. 1 year 3-3.5M get it done Brad.

That has a LOT to do with playing with Barkov. Barkov was +13 this year on the Panthers. The next closest player was a +6 Seth Griffith in just 21 games. Jagr was +2, but mostly due to the even strength points he put up this year. The rest of the team was even or in the minus.
Barkov's GA/60 was 2.11 last year. His teammates GA/60 without him balloons to 2.74. This is inline with his Fenwick number where his FA/60 was 38.76 and his Team FA/60 was 43.32.
This is not to say that Jagr was a full-on liability, but he did struggle mightily to get back into the play once the puck was turned over the other way. The only reason his plus/minus wasn't lower is because Barkov does so much of the heavy lifting defensively on his line.
It's not to say that Jagr can't still put up points, but largely it's because he can rely on a defensive center to take care of his own zone so he can cheat a little offensively. It's basically Iginla 2.0.
tl/dr: Barkov is a stud, and Jagr has been lucky to play with him.

So in other words, he'd have to play with Backlund, breaking up arguably the Flames best line.
I'm with everyone else who thinks it would be cool to have Jagr on the team just because he's such a legend, but from a pure hockey/non-emotional standpoint, it just doesn't work.
On top of that, I love Calgary and live here myself, but I really don't see him wanting to spend his last year or two in our fair city. If I had that kind of dough and opportunity, I sure wouldn't.

Essentially yes. I don't think Monahan is strong enough defensively to make up for Jagr's slow wheels AND Johnny's lack of size. Bennett isn't ready for heavy defensive assignments yet either.

The Panthers lost Smith and Marchessault to the Golden Knights and they still don't want to bring back old man Jagr. Probably tells you something.
I hope the Flames finish signing their RFAs before they consider any other UFAs. You never know what the RFAs will get. Ferland could go to arbitration and get a ridiculous payout and Bennett might get an offer sheet.

The whole point is that he doesn't have the dough and wants (ANY?) opportunity.

Yeah I don't think Jagr is feeling picky when he's tweeting about the lack of interest from GM's.

I don't know why Vegas won't sign him for a couple million as a star attraction for the new team, much like washed up singers and comedy acts doing casino shows....

Considering his gambling problems, I'm not sure that would be the best matchup for his financial health.

National Hockey League legend Jaromir Jagr has received a shocking offer, one that may indicate that his NHL career is coming close to an end.
On Monday the Florida Everblades of the ECHL officially extended an offer to Jagr for the 2017-2018 season, they have also released the following statement via their official website:
“We believe this deal makes sense for both sides,” said Everblades Public Relations Manager & Broadcaster Alex Reed. “Jaromir will have the opportunity to continue to play the game that he loves, while remaining in the tropical paradise of South Florida. From the team side, well that’s obvious. Just imagine watching number 68 skate on Germain Arena ice, with his long hair flowing behind him. The whole thing just gives us chills.”
It's clear that Reed and the rest of the Everblades organization views this as a golden opportunity to market their product, and rightfully so, but troubling for fans of Jagr is the fact that the Everblades seemingly believe they have a realistic chance of acquiring him.
“The NHL’s loss could become our gain,” said Reed. “He is a high-end player who wants to win, and that kind of mindset fits in well with our winning tradition.”
