I think Jagr may end up in Montreal, he will have to make due with the south shore.

Still holding out hope for Grigorenko. I think he's better than Ferland and would be an upgrade on the forward roster.

Hold on. Guy gets let go by the worst team in hockey in years and he's an upgrade on what we have? That seems like more than a stretch

Why not go look at the numbers? It's pretty plain as day

What is pretty plain as day is he is buttery soft and takes too many shifts off. Lots of talent but it is lacking between the ears.

Sure, and still produced. More than any of the bottom six forwards and all that while on what is it called, a historically bad avs team. Just saying if you could light a fire under his butt he'd be top line material. Even if he is sift he's still a fit to bump some vets off the roster.

Possibly but surely not Ferland as you suggested. Ferland at worse is still Ferland, if he realizes his potential he is a 25-30 goal power forward.

Plain as day to me he'd struggle to even make our team let alone displace established guys. Guys like him get better opportunities and produce more on bad teams. With more competition he'd get pushed down or out of the lineup. If he didn't excel on the worst team in the league getting handed opportunity after opportunity he's not going to excel here where more would be asked and expected of him.

Yet another Russian who fails to round out his game and goes home. And this kid was drafted out of the CHL even. I'd stay far away from most of them, not worth the risk.

I think Doan, Iginla and Jagr should all sign in Vegas for name recognition.

We weren't much better when Tampa picked up St. Louis and Atlanta grabbed Savard. And lazy wasn't the only label attached to savard at the time either.

Sometimes players need a change of scenery.

That's an interesting idea. Makes sense, not like they are deep at forward. No cap though, and to bring them in as a side show I'd assume they wouldn't be taking any Engelland discounts.

Doan lives down there though, I wonder if those two are talking.
