Morbidly curious to watch a 3rd pairing of Bartkowski-Wideman on the PK tonight. I know they aren't paired up, but it could happen.

I think the Flames lose today 4-2 (I hope I am wrong).

Hamilton and Tkachuk score tonight.
Iginla with 1G, 1A.

Dennis is in? Fantastic! Now I'm much more invested in this game. I hope he doesn't do anything silly or blow a tire at the blue line. Wouldn't want him to tarnish his legacy as a Flame.

Enough of you Debbie downers talking about not watching and a meaningless game! I booked the tickets a long time ago for this one thinking it might be really important. So I'm hoping for some excitement and quality goals and seeing Gillies and Anderson play!

Great, Wideman is playing?

We're going to lose 7-0 and be out of the playoffs.

In the past my posting/predicting in the GDT has been bad luck so I oft avoid it but in this situation I don't care.

Hope to see a resurgence from the first and second lines against an opponent that is essentially Ducks-lite.

Beyond excited for Gillies. Just happy any time a player out of the Flames system draws in. Always a chance that we could be watching a future starter. There is also zero pressure to win tonight so it makes for much easier viewing as a fan. Just want to see individuals get their games back on track and to get that bad taste of Anaheim out of their mouths. Play the game with the puck, not your fists and mouths. Get back to flames hockey tonight and the result will be secondary. We have to get back into good habits going into playoffs and I think that's the purpose the last two games should serve, more than winning/losing. Get some of that winning streak swagger back in their game too.

just lol @ wideman in instead of andersson. why would anyone ever want to play young players who have a good chance of improving over dead weight vets? i guess they don't care about seeing what they actually have in andersson

Because, probably last game as a Flame (barring injuries) for the Widedog versus many many future games for Rasmus? Also, in the POs, if someone gets hurt, it's Wideman in, so they may as well keep him as sharp as possible.

I totally see the logic as he would be next man up in the playoffs in the event of injury and hasn't played much as of late. No arguments there but as a fan it doesn't change the fact that a lot of us were excited about the chances of possibly seeing Andersson's NHL debut. Oh well I get the feeling Andersson's time is coming and maybe a soon as early next season.

Oh FFS, no.

He's our 7th defenseman. He is depth. He might be needed in the playoffs

All of those reasons, plus just no. You don't cheer for that kind of thing.

Reading these types of posts has become close to unbearable.

Exactly. Whether people like it or not, Wideman is the next player to draw in with an injury in the playoffs. Getting him some icetime before the playoffs is a good thing because he is probably going to be called upon if the Flames go anywhere this year.

I am just hoping for a clean game and no injuries. Don't let the Kings goon it up.

I was really hoping Tkachuk would be sat for this game. The 19 rookie should not have to be subjected to the cheap B'S the Kings will unleash perhaps again.
I admire the kids courage but I wish the Flames would have him sit this one out.

Tkachuk probably wants to play to settle the score with that chicken #### dough boy.

When Iggy retires (wish we had traded for him at the deadline - I think he would have been helpful for the playoffs in our bottom six and on the power play) I would like to see a Linden style handshake with all of the Flames at the end of the game.
