I agree it looked like an unlucky play.

At the same time I don't have sympathy for guys that chirp or act like rats and then have to pay for it.

4-2! That shorty was a backbreaker for LA.

I think that goal shouldve counted but I'm glad it didn't.

It definitely should have counted. I am also glad it didn't count but just more proof they can't get it right.

I thought this had been discussed already, but yeah... he said that in a game because he was chirping McDavid. You saw the incident, do you think it was on purpose?

If the Flames were down to the Coyotes right now by the same score there'd be endless posts how a team like LA would never let this game get away from them

Liking the Arizona Coyotes right now.

Have to say thank you to the pesky desert dogs for knocking off one of LA's games in hand.

Reminiscent of the Flames in the last couple months of 13/14

Just refused to get stepped on even though they were probably being sold as easy playoff points.

I'm not sure who is worse, McDavid or Oilers fans. Gets injured on an unlucky hockey play and the lot of them whine and whine and call for the head of a kid who is an honest hockey player like he should have treated McDavid like he's playing non-contact.

McDavid beaking off about how the guy is pathetic because he won't fight even though he is the softest most protected player in the league who doesn't even fight his own battles because he's too precious.

And trotting out some half-^&Sed justification that it's because Manning chirped, like that doesn't happen at almost every face off all year in the NHL and the Oilers are above it.

Even with more (undeserved and unearned) talent in their lineup this year some things never change, still the worst franchise in the league.

You realize Manning said he did it on purpose and that is what has caused all this right?

You can flap if you want to back it up.

You're gullible enough to really think that he actually did that on purpose?......lol wow. If he actually did it on purpose, I doubt he would be going to McDavid and saying it to his face....that would be the dumbest thing ever.

Anyway...

Manning 195 pounds
Maroon 230 pounds

I might be in the minority but those two fighting is just plain stupid.

He said it to make him and teammates lose his composure.

It worked.

If you watch that play and see intent to injure worthy of justice/discipline you must see 10 suspensions a game

Lose their composure? They won the game. And sent a message that if you are going to claim to hurt the Oilers star player you will pay for it.

Maybe next time Lucic should pull a page from Brouwers playbook and tell Conner its part of the game and suck it up, amirite?

Once he says on the ice he meant to hurt him it doesn't matter if its an accident. I agree I think it was accidental. But once he said it wasn't then he had to suffer the consequences that the Oilers are saying if you hit their star player. McDavid challenged him to fight multiple times their first game after and he declined.

I know some have said he denied it, but when first asked he said "I believe what happens on the ice stays on the ice" which is a confirmation. Then he denied it.

I also give Manning huge credit for standing up for himself and flapping back at the bench and stuff. I still don't believe he meant to do it but that is a guy who will stand up for himself. And thatch commendable.

Right... Winning the game means you kept your composure. They definately sent a message... That their knuckle draggers lose their minds if prescious even gets trash talked. They should just invest in a bubble for him.
