Wideman is horrible. He no longer has NHL skills and is downright scary everytime he is on the ice. IMO he may be the slowest player in the NHL. I believe he is the main reason Brodie's play is suffering. He cannot play his game when paired up with Wideman.

Respectfully disagree. I'm not really a Wideman hater, but he fumbled tons of passes, lost his player repeatedly, and constantly threw the puck to nobody. Only one mistake ended up in the back of the net, but we have to keep the bar set higher than that.
Agree 100%. Wideman's play was the only blemish on an otherwise perfect Flames game. It's time he spends some time as our 7th defenseman.
Reunite Brodie and Giordano. Let Hamilton anchor the 2nd pairing with one of the kids - maybe even Wotherspoon who can play the 'stay at home' role in that pairing.

Well that was sure a confidence inspiring win! Seeing the Flames match and surpass the Wild's physical game and intensity made me believe in them again.
This team plays a completely different game when they score first. Hopefully this is just a sign of a young team and they can learn to be more consistent through out the game.
Great effort tonight from pretty much everybody. They showed up ready to play right from puck drop and didn't let up for the entire game. You could see their confidence building as the game wore on, and it was nice to see the offence come alive against one of the best defensive teams in the league.
And Elliott was awesome.
Let's hope they can string a few more of these together and start moving back up the standings.
