That's a lot of time spent on a forum that is not only one of the greatest places to debate without hurt feelings, but has such an interesting and far ranging diverse population.

In the last 15 years I've seen my hair has gone from brown to Grey to gone.

I've seen 6 playoff runs for the Flames, 4 that ended in the first round, 1 in the second and the awesome run to the finals.

I've seen three Prime Ministers in that time, and 4 Presidents, Clinton, Bush, Obama and now psycho von nutjobface.

I've gone through 3 different companies

I've gone from not coaching football, to coaching woman, to coaching Bantam boys. From a Linebackers coach to Defensive Coordinator, to Offensive Line Coach to Offensive Coordinator, to coaching a championship team.

And except for a brief month never really left CalgaryPuck.

I tend to think that when we post on boards like this, our personalities become a bit exaggerated, but they're also rooted in some deep felt reality. In my day to day life, I'm certainly not a complete grumpy old man, but here that comes across. But its fun to be that grumpy old man at times, just like its fun to be an over the top Oilerhater (which is really rooted in reality, the Oilers no matter what, are simply no damn good).

I enjoy interacting with all of you, especially the ones that I disagree with most, the guys like Slava and Rube and others, who I've gone back and forth in some kind of weird psychological dance have made this board fun for me.

But 50,000 posts, that's almost frightening.

15 years ago I was in my mid 30's, now I'm flirting with 50, That's interesting because while I don't believe that my core values have changed all that much, however if I went back and looked at those posts, I believe that some key viewpoints have certainly changed.

It's also funny that this board has put me face to face with a few of you. Buying my jeep from Pylon and then selling it back to him 5 years later was the epitome of CalgaryPuck strange.

Will my posting start to decline because the light was shined on it? I don't know, with Trudeau as Prime Minister and Trump as President, and Notley as premiere and yes my 50'th birthday, my post frequency might go up.

With the Flames continuing to deny us a second Stanley Cup and the Stamps struggling to string together more Grey Cups there may be no shortage of grumpiness.

And of course with more Star Wars movies coming out in greater frequency there's no shortage of talking points.

Thanks CalgaryPuck and all of you for the ability to distract, debate and widen my viewpoints.

Now get off of my lawn you bunch of jeans wearing low, underpants showing, hats on backwards teenagers.
You clearly need to get married, you have to much time on your hands!

I have 1462. That must be some sort of record for someone who joined in 2002 and looks at CP daily.

Congrats Captain. You provided a lot of food for thought over the years!

I've been called a lot of things in my time on CP. 'Scorpion', 'Scorp', 'Scorpy', 'Scorpo', 'Matt' (it's Mike), and 'that idiot who only likes obscure players who everyone else hates'.

But never 'The_Scorpion'. I really do love me some underscore action though, thanks Shyamalan. Oh, I mean, Sylvanfan.

You mean like earlier this week where he went on a posting blitz in the Eric Francis thread about team toughness, stating over and over again how the enforcer is dead and Brian McGrattan's an idiot if he thinks players like him will do anything for a player like Gaudreau in today's NHL, before someone pointed out that McGrattan actually said all the same things if Ashax had bothered to read even one paragraph of the article?

Don't sell yourself short. You're likely over 20,000. You also have 7,274 posts as flip, plus more posts under other user names.
