Iggy's only comparable in the obstruction era are Hossa and Jagr. He outscores everyone else significantly.

Yeah it's way to early for Kane, Towes, Keith, and Malkin to be on there. One day they'll all be considered. I would put Hossa on there before any of his fellow Blackhawks.

What are they counting as the modern era? Post 1990? Post 2000?
Either way, the list is a looooot longer than 6 players. There's probably more than 6 goalies alone who deserve to be on the list.

I believe they count post 1967 as the modern era.

67 players from the modern era, post 1967. They already announced the 33 from pre-1967 at the Winter Classic. Allegedly, there are only 6 active players on the list.

Ken Williams at THN has Iginla at 77. Seems about right. He said Iggy "could go down as one of the greatest players in league history never to win a Stanley Cup."

Malkin's won the art ross twice, only other active players to do that are Crosby and Jagr, Crosby is tied with two. He's def not better than Crosby because he isn't as consistent but it's crazy to me how much the hockey world underrates him. If he was born on Canadian soil he would get so much more respect for how good he is.

Stamkos is probably too young right now to make the list but I'm certain he is or will be one of the top 100 players at some point.

Malkin won the Art Ross playing with Crosby and Sykora. Iginla won it playing with Conroy and McAmmond.

It's starting. Toews and McDavid are in the opening montage, but so are Brad May and Stephane Matteau, so...

This is a pretty well-put-together production, to be honest.

The Roadrunner was one of my favorite players ever but either he or Lemaire over Iginla? That doesn't work IMO.

Are they just doing it by decade? Or will there be an actual 100 list revealed. I'm confused.

There's not going to be a numbered list. Just 100 names. I guess doing it by decade makes sense.
