We don't have enough information you are correct in that regard. People base their response in every goalie after Kipper not living up to expectation. Which is an indicator to some fans that the goalie coach is not up to par. There can be two ways of looking at this, is it the goaltenders or is the goalie coach.

Do I know? Of course I do not know.

Maybe when we get the goalie, we should obtain their goalie coach as well.

I think the two major factors in a goaltender's performance are the goalies and the players playing in front of them. With the goaltending coach very far behind those two. Especially for veteran goalies like Elliot and Johnson.

Sigh. The season is going sideways and the forum devolves into pegging it all on goaltending issues. Almost like clockwork.

Goalies haven't been good enough (johnson and elliot) the last while but it doesn't cover up the fact the skaters are the root of the problem. Next year we could bring in Carey Price and you'd still have fans pointing the finger when his numbers slide.

The team is not competing hard enough. A bad goal here or there shouldn't lead the entire team to shut down and take a stinky dump in the sheets every night.

It's more like a collaboration with the players that play in front of the goalie. Maybe Treliving keeps picking the wrong type of goalies for this team because all of the ones that play a straight butterfly style doesn't work with how weak this team is defensively. As far as the last few seasons have been, I don't think the goalies are solely to blame. They are adequate for playoff bound teams. The supporting casts not playing in net need to show up and that means future players through better trades, draft and other acquisitions.
