Because we are currently a one line team. I think Bennett did a great job on Backlund's left wing last year so I don't think it would be that much of a drop off in that line's play.

Bennett is the cog that is slowing down the entire wheel. If he was capable of playing well right now, Johnny-Bennett-Chiasson, would be a great line. But, as it stands, him and Chiasson are slowing down Johnny.
You move Chiasson with Johnny and Monahan so they can carry him.
Versteeg-Bennett-Brouwer is a great line in the sense that both wingers are consistent and are both playing decently well right now.

I just hope to god that Bennett pots a bunch today and gets his confidence back.
He looked better in the Edm game. Hell i'd even give him some 1st PP time.

I've been a huge supporter of not breaking up the 3M line but I think it may be time. I like these lines but I'd change things up a little differently and keep Tkachuk on his natural wing and move Versteeg back to the right instead. Add that veteran presence and creativity to the first line.

Chiasson. Face palm.
Another useless night coming up for Johnny.

I think they should play
Geadreau - Monahan - Frolik

Sure we break up that MMM line but Frolik looks similar to Hudler, maybe the kids won't notice.

Edit: Just had a thought

Geadreau - Monahan - Tkachuk
Bennett - Backlund - Frolik
Versteeg - Jankowski - Chiasson
Ferland - Stajan - Hathaway

Either way they've got to change something. The team needs 1 more top 4 defenseman, thats for sure. Not sure what I'd do with the D core to be honest.

Face palm is right. I don't get it. Chiasson is not a good hockey player and is dragging Johnny down.

I have no desire to watch this team tonight, but I'll probably tune in at some point just out of morbid curiosity. Hoping for a win of course, but very doubtful.

Standing in Pearson waiting for the hotel shuttle.

Lots for us the game. Hopefully no one will be throwing beers at us

Kulak has been given an opportunity to take a permanent spot as the #5-6 defencemen. I hope he play well, takes the spot, and never looks back.

Just saw a headline that Johnny and Mony were being reunited, and thought woohoo!

Then I came here and saw that they're gonna be strapped to Chaisson the Boat Anchor.

Sometimes I swear the Flames are just trolling me.

Would go along way if they came out and looked great tonight. But unfortunately we keep playing Brodie on his off side and continue to throw Wideman out there, we are shooting ourselves in the foot before the game even starts every night. Chiasson on the top line is just gross and we probably will have to go through a whole season with watching his brick hands and awful hockey sense mess up chance after chance while doing absolutely nothing. He doesn't even throw his body around and obviously has done nothing to protect Gaudreau, just an average 4th liner on our top line and #1 pp unit (if you want to call it that).

Ahhh gross, put our most consistent player on our 3rd line is a bad idea. Tkachuk either stays on his line or moves up.

I honestly don't see why we can't try some more Stockton guys sooner than later. See what Shinkaruk, Klimchuk, or Jankowski could give this team could be very helpful. Substituting Chiasson is subsituting a warm body, not very difficult and not much will be worse.

I'd like to see him on the right side with Mony and Johnny. Perhaps that will get Gaudreau going. Bennett can take his place on the Backlund line, where he played his best hockey.
