I think you have to sit Bennett for a game or two at this point.
Few bad penalties, couldn't really stay on his feet and the play more or less died on his stick every time he had the puck. I thought that playing with Gaudreau would help him a bit, but he's looked pretty lackluster in Edm and tonight.

Don't wanna be too hard on him but he's playing with 0 confidence right now. I don't think sitting a few would be all that bad at this point.

I'm very happy the Flames got such a convincing win. The whole team looked great, and outside of two perfect shots from Trocheck, they played a nearly perfect game.

However, I'm seriously bummed at how bad the Panthers looked tonight. The only thing Tom Rowe is good for is coach's challenges. The team is a shambles.

Hopefully the Panthers do the opposite of what NJ did coming through Alberta.

The Panthers are an example of why you need continuity and consistency from the top down. That team had made serious strides and because of a dumb handsy owner they make a bunch of idiotic management changes which results in some questionable player personnel changes. Then what seemed like a heat of the moment coachi g change and now instead of being a team on the rise to reckon with they look like a shell of what they were last season.

Solid game from everyone except Bennett and Chiason. Those two are awful players.

Both need to sit. Kinda harsh Hathaway has to sit yet Bennett continues to play and be a liability out there.

Good game from Monahan. He seems to have his swagger back as he's shooting the puck more and with more confidence.

Bennet needs to find his swagger and quick. He looks totaly lost out there.

Good post. He's clearly fighting the puck and his skating looks so off. Might as well bench him and see if that lights a fire under his butt. Knowing Bennett and his "care" level, he will come back as fired up as ever.

I think Hathaway is hurt, not being sat.

I'd move Bennet from the center ice postion and put him on wing for awhile.

I think you mean the massive Cross-checking on Gaudreau.

Have you seen Hathaways face lately?? Dude is torn up. Especially after last game. It was a good move by GG. Hathaway needed a game to sit out. It is not because his play was bad but because of the way he plays . He needs the rest.

Well that's not a great message to send.

"Play too hard and show too much effort and we will bench you so you can get some rest"

"Play uninspired hockey with no defensive awareness and take dumb offensive zone penalties and you'll keep playing"

I don't see Bennett suiting up next game.

Remember Hartley comparing Bennett to a caged tiger that hadn't eaten for a month? I miss that Bennett.

Sit him for a game and I think we see the tiger again.
