Great effort.

Great to see elliott have such a strong game.

We need our top guys to be the top guys . Our dmen played well, we need some offense. I didn't like gaudreau's game again. Thought Bennet was good.

To give some credit, really like Draisatl. He's a top line player already.

Tight game, thought the Flames deserved better actually. Close enough game that the garbage officiating was enough to make a difference. Brutal call on Hamilton after they put the whistles away and refuse to call some fairly blatant crap against the Oil.

Wonder how long the officials have decided this will go on against Calgary? One season of punishment, until we lose Wideman, until our management team that backed him are gone, what will it be?

Umm..the Flames just lost to the Oilers. The Oilers. Battle of Alberta. Normal.

Wow.

Poo.

3 flippin' posts.....

Sigh. Good game and Elliott was excellent in net. Not too many giveaways, and the passing looked spot on most of the time.

Flames got less than they deserved, the Grease got more.

(Obligatory note about PBP/colour commentary: why does a national game sound like an Oilers homer broadcast? One would hope for a bit of balance.)

Hate losing to the Oiler's but that was an entertaining game for the portions I watched. Can only hope this gives the team another boost to win these tight situations.

Great game and they played well. One inch here or there and they come away with the win they deserved. Unfortunate.

Moose was fantastic. Really redeemed himself. That said, Talbot was great too. Flames definitely had the more dangerous chances overall. Had his bacon saved on the Hamilton shot that beat him clean. Again, Flames can't buy a bounce this week it seems, though also lacking some killer instinct. Proud of the team, for a btb they really came to play. If we had got this yesterday, they'd have walked out with a W for sure.

Widedog was great tonight, one of his best games this year.

Talbot steals another 2 points for the grease though.

The Flames need just a little bit more talent to break through when a goalie is in the zone.

TJ Brodie deserves major credit for shutting down McDingle tonight. He had a fantastic game.

Elliott reminded me of Kipper tonight. Outstanding during the game but just not great in the shootout. Flames deserved a better fate. Especially Elliott. An oddly tactical BoA. Very nerve racking to watch.

Are you serious if it wasn't for Elliot the game would have been over much sooner.

Elliott played his best game of the season. He was focused and made a number of great pad saves including the one on Maroon in the dying seconds of OT. Hopefully this is just the beginning of many more good games from Elliott. We will need him in the coming games if we are going to secure a playoff spot.

Great game by Elliott, but I think Johnsson is much better in the shootout. Elliott looks so small when he backs into the net, leaving much net to shoot at. Anyone know their career shootout stats?

This is absolutely pushing me away from watching the NHL. The officiating especially this year when the Flames are playing borders on corrupt. Why Treliving and Burke aren't putting videos out to the press and trying to embarrass the NHL after remaining quiet so far this year is amazing to me.

I love the Flames but seriously FU NHL for not fixing this.

You guys are worse then the Black Sox's and the mafia.

Veersteg was a thorn in the side of McDavid also.
