I thought the Sharks were supposed to be good defensively.

Not really. But Jones is supposed to be a really good goalie.

Yikes, the Sharks are pretty sloppy defensively.

Had to look it up Sharks are 4th best in GA. Jones is standing on his head right now.

This is all useless if the Flames don't take care of their games though. I'll tease the Oil if we catch/overtake them come the weekend. Until then, I'm keeping things ho hum. Will scoreboard watch and hope for the best.

Thank you, hockey gods. Now hopefully the Flames can take advantage of this opportunity tomorrow to gain some ground on these losers, since they blew it against the Jets.

Figure we'll see Aaron Dell then tomorrow. Airdrie boy, only 6 GP but has pretty great numbers so far.

4-1-0 1.78 GAA .936%

Even before this game I believe he was going to be the starter. Had him listed as the expected starter on the score app and they're usually pretty accurate.

Much like the Oilers, Airdrie sucks.

False. It is always acceptable to ridicule the Oilers. It is practically your birthright as a Flames fan.

The Stars had great goaltending by Niemi who faced 38 shots, but it wasn't enough as the Ducks won 2-0. Silfverberg with 2 points and Gibson with the 34 save SHUTOUT. What a game between the Red Wings and Bhawks, Chicago won 4-3 in OT. Goaltending was excellent and Keith scored the GWG on the PP. Here's the box score, http://scores.nbcsports.com/nhl/boxscore.asp?gamecode=2017011004&home=4&vis=5&fina l=true The Bruins win 5-3 over the Blues. Carter Hutton took over in goal for the Blues after the 1st period and got 3rd star. The BJs are falling back to earth fast as the Hurricanes beat them 5-3. The Flyers are in a slump as they lose 4-1. LOL to the Canucks on how they lost in OT. LOL to the Oilers loss. The bummer with the Preds win is that it gives them a ROW, too bad it didn't end in the SO. At least the Sharks and Ducks won in reg time and the Blues lost in reg time.
