Mostly perfect OOT tonight:

Flames win
Edmonton loss
Vancouver loss
Other divisional teams playing - lose (other than Anaeim, who had to beat the Oilers)

Edmonton in freefall now with 3 wins in their last 10.

They just have no real good depth beyond McDavid and Lucic looks like he's enjoying his new long term deal.

With Russell back their defense becomes impenetrable. And adding the other players guarantees a playoff spot even more.

Principe with Fowler - gets to ask him about his goal, which of course started with a great McDavid rush.

The eastern conference currently has 9 teams at least 4 games above .500.

The western conference currently has 1 team more than 2 games above .500.

Points percentages should factor in OTL as .500 for the game. So 7 teams are 2 games above in the West and the last wild card is .500

Errrr. 5-1. Wax on, Canucks.
I was at the Canucks game tonight. The building being about 30% empty for the entire game was funny but what was even better was when the game ended they played "99 Problems" by Jay-Z.

Mm, it's important to cherish and savour these nights when the Flames look decent and the Oil and Canucks both get blown out. Also that beautiful silence that comes from northern Alberta when the crisp demoralizing cold of November rolls in..

That NYR 7 @ VAN 2 final score makes our loss 4-1 against the Rangers last Saturday not sting as much.

Awful start to the last "Circus" road trip (Circus contract for UC not going to be renewed)...4-0 Jets...my guys were overdue for a clunker...next stop Calgary on Friday, but, I gotta work, and will have to catch the game on DVR before I can join the discussion.

It's nice watching that smug fan base fall back down to earth when they realize their team is still terrible.
I agree, it is quite something to watch a fan base think their team was improving with new young talent, goal-tending change, and a young face of the franchise star.

But in the end have it all come crumbling down. The endless crying about the refs not making the calls on their star is the real cherry on top.
