There's no way Alex Chiasson should ever get a sniff of top line minutes again. Rhett & Boomer went off this morning about it. Warrener seems to think a big part of the failings this year are coaching related.
I feel like it's the easy choice to load up your top line and play the balls off them.

I think the worst case is the top forwards stop overthinking and start playing like they can. Best case is the forwards wake up and start winning you some games like they know how to do.

what about throwing bennet on the wing on the top line in an effort to ignite our main guys?

gaudreau - monahan - bennet
tkachuk - backlund - frolik
ferland - stajan - brower
bouma - hamilton - chiasson

Hey, that makes lots of sense because Brodie has looked so good playing on the left side and will cover for Wideman

To be fair the latest complaint about Hamilton being used sparingly will be addressed at least temporarily. If he sticks with Gio he'll get the lion's share of the minutes,.

I swear that Gulutzan either listens to the radio all morning or reads sites like this.

He claims he doesn't pay attention to the media during the season. Classic ostrich.

Devan Dubnyk has a .947 save% so far this season second only to Carey Price. It doesn't look hopeful for the Flames.

The Flames tried the Gio-Hamilton pairing at the start of the season last year because Brodie was injured.

They played pretty poorly together, although I suppose you could argue that it was unsuccessful because Gio just got back from a serious injury and Hamilton was playing in a brand new system that took a while for him to adjust to.

Is it stupid Oilers? Or just more evidence that the team play actually accounts more for save% than the goalie does. I wonder if Elliott is starting to think that.

Interesting comment from BB on the Flames. “I’m surprised (they've struggled). A lot of teams picked them to win the West...

Sounds like BB is drinking the kool-aid that GG brought to the picnic.

Gulutzan's live interview on facebook now is hilarious. The comments are gold. I don't think I've ever seen a united distain for a coach like this before in Calgary.

The positive here is that there are so many good shows on these days, I can fill my time with that instead. Gotta catch up on Season 2 of Narcos...
