Homer better get ready to complain again when they play "Ring Of Fire" a few times at the Dome this year, instead of some rap song.

Anyhoo......."Folsom Prison Blues" is my favourite Cash song. Great stuff.

Bought the 4-disc compilation "Cash" a couple of months ago. Pretty happy with that investment.

Great thread, Adam...............for the most part.

I dunno if Joaquin Phoenix is the least bit convincing as Cash, going by the clips. Looks more like a cross between Bert The Muppet and Herman Munster.

Johnny Cash personally chose him for the role.

Lawrence Gowan is the new lead singer of Styx.

He claims to have "A Criminal Mind,"
I thought they were touring with Dennis DeYoung in tow this year? Did he decide to head back to Broadway?

Styx wasn't a complete band until Tommy Shaw joined. His voice and guitar gave them a whole new dimension to their sound.

My favorite Styx tunes are "Suite Madame Blue" and "Crystal Ball". Great stuff! [/b][/quote]
Styx was SO underrated but they didn't have the most manly image

As a follow-up, the CCMA awards on Monday night were amazing. They didn't mention Cash, unfortunately, as the spotlight was on Alberta. Paul Brandt brought the arena to its feet with "Alberta Bound". I was like a kid on Christmas morning.
