The Flames didn't show up for this game.

Mony and Johnny look completely lost out there.

Gross man. No need to say anymore about his play.

I feel like my season tickets might have been my worst investment to date. Literally no desire to watch GG and DC get out coached night in and out.
I'm starting to think our system is good against 1/10th of the league and there really is no progress.

Really? To me, it seems as if he's putting way too much thought into the lineups. Your team wins, you keep the same lineup.

Absolutely terrible.

Something very wrong with this team. Headed for another year where they don't make the playoffs and yet still don't pick in the top 5.

It's getting tiresome.

Not giving up hope yet, but Gully needs to stop trying to be the smartest coach in hockey. We had a bad training camp where only minor chemistry was created, especially on D, and then the lineup changes every night because "matchups" I would rather we let our good dmen work it out then trying to magically weave the straw of Wideman and Grossman into gold.

Clone Tkachuk, Backlund, Frolik, Gio, and (ugh) Engelland until we have enough to ice a team. They've been the only guys playing to expectations this year.

Outscored 12-4 so far on this road trip. I agree with most that the biggest problem is the disappearance of Monahan and Gaudreau, but what is up with our vaunted defence and goaltending. The inability to defend is what is driving me crazy.

Personal day off in California and this is what we get. Unacceptable lack of effort.

The team is full of underachievers. I'll put it into 2 tiers my disappointment in some players and why they are still here. The coaching staff is a fail right now, there is a disconnect in the room and the coaches have to take the blame for it rightly or wrongly.

Tier 1: Hamilton, Stajan, Kulak, Grossman. These players are really playing subpar. Some play with effort some do not. Regardless, the team will not be a playoff team with these players, whether you like them or not.

Tier 2: Giordano, Brodie, Ferland, Monahan, and Bennett. These players are all capable players. They've lost focus and are not playing the way they should. I know some other fans will place blame on others, but I blame these players for breaking up plays that should be there or not doing enough to create plays on a consistent basis.

Offence is suffering because of our back end failing to understand what defense is! Defense is the worst in the league this year and last year. I'm sick of everyone jumping on the goalies. All too often I see defenseman out of place, falling down, and even panicking or not thinking the game properly. Sutter years ago played Doughty at winger for a game, because he was jumping up ice all too often. Doughty got the hint quickly and didn't like it at all.

This all starts with Burke and everyone under him. The buck stops at him.

Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik line is awesome.

Grossmann sucks.
Pretty sad when the Tkachuk-Backlund-Frolik line is your best. At least those 3 players work their arses off each game.

Not sure how the lines will look but I'd be stunned if Jokipakka and Shinkaruk don't draw in tomorrow. Freddie Hamilton and Grossmann (obviously) sit.

I'm getting pretty tired of watching such uninspired hockey. If they were playing hard and just not getting the bounces, or if they were bringing lots of energy and just weren't skilled enough, I could at least excuse them and still find it entertaining.
Outside of 3-4 players, it doesn't look like anyone wants to put effort in.

Glen Gulutzan. "We were a little bit intimidated. They came real hungry and ready. We didn't."

Sigh

Just think how much we are going to save resigning some of these plugs...Brodie must have dropped a million or two by now.

i said last year that putting the blame on the goalies was not right, sure there wasnt great goaltending but this team can't/wont play defense. carey price would have a GAA of 3.50 or higher playing behind these guys

This guy has no idea how to motivate this team. Seems like he just wants to run the x's and o's on the whiteboard. I wonder what a Gulutzan pre game speech is like.
