McKenzie kicks one in at the 10 minute mark...but, it was subtle enough a kick to get away with...2-1 Stars.

McDavid hooks Tavares's to slow him down and get leverage to skate away and Tavares gets the penalty...

I am enjoying this game and looking forward to the rematch tomorrow. It is 12-12 for shots on goal.

After a good 1st period, it's been all Capitals. Luongo has been standing on his head and the team has collapsed well in front of him.

However, on a great individual rush in the 3rd period, Reilly Smith scores to put the Panthers up 2-1. The shots are currently 31-18 for Washington with about 13 minutes to go.

Jaromir Jagr left the game with a lower body injury. The Panthers are now without 3 of their top 4 scorers from last season: Jagr, Jokinen, Huberdeau, as well as missing Bjugstad and his 0.5 points per game. Lots of key forwards missing for the Panthers, but they're still finding ways to win early in the year. The two leading scorers for the Panthers are currently Jonathan Marchessault with 12 points, and Colton Sceviour with 8 points.

Caps tie it up just now with a point shot deflected by Ovechkin.

Kadri blindsides Daniel Sedin. He'll be suspended for a few games.

Bah...Matheson gets schooled by Oshie. 3-2 Caps. The rookie Matheson has been good, but there's always going to be times like that where experience shows.

I didn't think the Kadri hit was a headshot but it was definitely a blindside.

I want to see Daniel Sedin sit due to the NHL spotter/concussion protocol.

Sabres take the lead in the third period, 2-1 with the Senators.

Kadri should be suspended for his hit, but Burrows should be suspended for his spear.
