Kulak is definitely guilty of pizzas that we haven't seen so far this season. I will say this though, good bluelines have speed to recover from screwups and Kulak is the second most mobile player on our blueline after Brodie (Third if you include Kylington). He is able to recover from tough situations better than Hamilton or Giordano or Jokipakka. If he had to play top four I believe he would adapt because of that, plus his poise and defensive zone decision making. He is built like a top four defenseman; n terms of skillset, and I believe he is the guy to fill Kris Russell's empty void while also not being a possession black hole.

I thought Kulak had a solid, met-expectations type game last night.

I think Engelland is an excellent partner for him.

MUCH rather have them as the 3rd pair, and have Wideman and Grossmann eating popcorn.

I hope wideman doesn't get another game this season, might as well ask him to go hom like Vancouver did with Higgins last year.

Yeah. I think the team needs to just accept they have a very expensive press box player on the roster. Putting him in the lineup makes the team worse and winning games is more important than showcasing players for a trade. Unless Kulak starts to badly slump there's no need for Wideman to get back in the lineup barring injury to a defenseman.
