The Ducks lead 2-0 midway through the second period. Ritchie scored a power play goal in the first period and Silfverberg scored a shorthanded goal in the second period.

That's not really a fair assessment of play though. Not many dangerous chances for Washington

Trading Hall was the best thing the Oilers did this off season. They could have given him away for free and it would have been an improvement.

Washington has had the puck a lot, but yeah, not a lot there.

Not to sound too much like a Flames fan from two years ago, but the Oilers look very dangerous on the rush.

Yeah and most of them have been perimeter shots. Wsh has had chances but the shots are a tad misleading.

Its quite nice being able to not only score off the rush but actually get the damn puck out of the defensive zone fairly cleanly.

I'm not watching so just going by what it's showing me. Fair enough. Let the fairy tale cinderella ball continue up north.

I wouldn't bet McDavid against the entire league for the Art Ross (at least not straight up), but is there a single player more likely to win it than he?

Don't count Sid out just yet. You know how he can heat up.

Yeah id say Sid and Kane are probably more likely tbh (although sid has some catching up to do at this point)

Id be surprised if he wasnt in the top 5 tho.

I like what i'm seeing from the Oilers.

Russell has been a huge win for the oilers so far.

Flames fans did love him for the most part until he got traded .

Then he was a bum who only blocked shots cause he couldn't get the puck out!

Lots of Flames fans loved him, they just aren't on this forum.

There does sometimes seem to be a misconception that this forum is representative of Flames fans in general.
