The lines have been very consistent through the first 5 games. They've moved one winger up/down the lineup the odd time. That's it. It's not working, have to try something different.

Blues coming off two losses. Don't think a veteran team will let it go any further. This will be ugly. Blues maul the Flames like the grizzly on DiCaprio

Get to see this one in person. Hoping for a big win. Also hoping those lines last all of one shift each.

The Blues are so well structured that it could help the Flames to find some structure tonight

I was just about to post the same thing! All this experimenting during the season can't be a good thing!

Too many lines, have never played together consistently and some players not complementing the pairs they are assigned to. Makes it hard to address system issues if we are still mix/matching lines instead of encouraging some level of consistency.

Are the players we brought in good enough: ? If not, finding a skilled player to complement Johnny and Monahan should have been a priority before the season started.

If Giordano - Wideman produces well as a top defense pair tonight:

Those lines / pairings do not inspire any confidence whatsoever.

I was positive until I saw the defensive pairings. That's just garbage and I thought Greg had learned his lesson that this doesn't work.

I am losing faith in this coach.

Must be a confidence killer for Elliott if he doesn't start tonight. Gulutzan should just play him, what's the worse that can happen? A lot of people are already expecting a loss.

Blues likely would have embarrassed Elliott. He was sheltered heavily by their defense and they would know all of his weaknesses from practice. I'm just glad he's not signed beyond this year

I feel bad that he isn't getting the opportunity, but frankly, he hasn't come close to earning this start. I'm happy Gulutzan has the guts to sit Elliott on the bench tonight.

Really hard to get pumped for this game. The team is playing bad. Tkachuk sitting. Lines and pairings look really rough. No Elliott vs the Blues story line.

I guess it will be 'fun' watching Wideman tonight.

Wideman back in... prepare for more breakaways and penalties called.
