So Vancouver plays back to back at home today and tomorrow. I think that is the first time I have ever seen that. Is this normal? Usually back to backs are on the road or home and away.

It happens. A couple teams have done it already this season.

Heck, Vancouver started the season back-to-back at home.

Back to back Canauck home games happen once or twice a season for the past few years. This past weekend and two weeks earlier as AC mentioned.. Last season it happened once, November 21 and 22.

Great late third period game winner by Reilly Smith. Steals from Hedman, flips the puck to himself past Stralman and wires it short side.

18 years old, 14 games in, 2nd career hattrick. NHL goal scoring leader, not just rookies, all skaters.

God damn it I love this kid

Yeah he's a good one. Good to see some of the better young players in the league on Canadian teams. It's taken some time but the Canadian teams have taken their turn in the basement and top young prospects are being drafted by Canadian teams.

I'd be fine if Puljujarvi ends up being a bust, and I'd be glad if the Oilers failed at developing him

Hmm.. quote doesn't show up...

@ Itse

Once Edmonton drafted Puljujarvi, all hope for his future was lost.

On the bright side... Laine looks really damn impressive! Just pretend Puljujarvi is Swedish if that helps

Scheiffielle scoring leader in the NHL.. it's early but he's been the leader since last January of Feb. I wonder how long it will take at this pace before he's recognized as an "elite" centre, whatever that is.

Even for me as a die hard Jets fan I don't see him that way. He's not flashy in the slightest.
