You're right. That could be what they are trying to convey. But I doubt it. "Humbled" by a standing ovation for instance is another one you hear.

Getting 317 NHL games out of a 7th-rounder (who goes onto play 501 games total) is a great pick.

Pick was a throw-in on the Craig Conroy/Cory Stillman deal.

It always seemed like every time the Mossman was ready to take that next step, he'd get hurt. Perhaps under different circumstances he could have had a career like Mike Knuble or Andrew Brunette as a rugged third line winger who could fill in on the second line if necessary and had the potential to score ~20 goals in a season. I guess some guys' bodies can take the punishment of going to the dirty areas and taking abuse night in and night out better than others. Still 500+ games with a 20 goal season is nothing to sneeze at.

Wish Mossman the best of luck in his retirement.

All the best to the Mossman in the future.

He was a good role player for the Flames and gave an honest effort. Kudos!

Always liked Moss. Was a solid depth player that was put in a position unfairly to play above his ability. Kid was very versatile and dependable. Wish him the best of luck.
