A guy might look around at the company he is part of and realize how much more talented they all are and/or how much more they work for it. That would be humbling. ...but yeah, honored is probably a better word.
You're right. That could be what they are trying to convey. But I doubt it. "Humbled" by a standing ovation for instance is another one you hear.
It always seemed like every time the Mossman was ready to take that next step, he'd get hurt. Perhaps under different circumstances he could have had a career like Mike Knuble or Andrew Brunette as a rugged third line winger who could fill in on the second line if necessary and had the potential to score ~20 goals in a season. I guess some guys' bodies can take the punishment of going to the dirty areas and taking abuse night in and night out better than others. Still 500+ games with a 20 goal season is nothing to sneeze at.
Always liked Moss. Was a solid depth player that was put in a position unfairly to play above his ability. Kid was very versatile and dependable. Wish him the best of luck.
