Were there seriously rumors about the game being postponed? If so I definitely don't want to drive up there for nothing. Where might be the best place to find this information?
On another note if anybody in Van is interested in coming to the game, my buddy bailed due to the storm. Tickets were $80US but I could give them to you at a huge discount. PM me if interested.

No. I said that I wouldn't be surprised to learn that the league was considering it.

I think the Flames win today. Not because the Flames play well, but because the Canucks are just so awful.
I wouldn't be surprised to see Chad Johnson have a solid game today. The Canuck's lack of offense will probably make Johnson look good.

I agree with this. Chiasson has been quite good so far, is forechecking well and going to the net - exactly what we were hoping he would bring to the line.
Couldn't hurt.

Do we know for sure that Johnson is in net? I'd like to see Elliott out there again though he has seen a lot of pucks the past few days.

The Calgary Flames of the first two games of the season were the worst team in the NHL. Thankfully, that's just a two-game sample size, and the Flames have a chance to rebound in Vancouver against a mediocre Canucks team.
Up front the Flames seemingly have poor depth underneath a potent first line; however, it's worked in the reverse fashion over the first two games. Star Johnny Gaudreau has only one assist and is a pitiful -3, while depth winger Michael Frolik and 3rd-line centre Mikael Backlund are sitting at goal-per-game and point-per-game averages, respectively. In order to succeed in tonight's game, the Flames will need star-like turns from at least two of their top-four forwards in Gaudreau, Sean Monahan, Sam Bennett, and Matthew Tkachuk.
The defense hasn't been much prettier. Mark Giordano, TJ Brodie, and Dougie Hamilton have all turned in average performances thus far. Jyrki Jokipakka looked very good in his first game in the lineup yesterday. Deryk Engelland has looked solid, if unspectacular. Who am I forgetting? I'd rather not say, I'd like to forget the performances of the other two defensemen who have appeared in the Flames' first two games.
The Flames' goaltending has thus far been... Hiller-esque. Brian Elliott is boasting an .818 SV% and a 5.08 GAA through his first two games, awful numbers for a two-time All-Star. I'd expect Elliott to sit tonight in favour of Chad Johnson, who should play his first game as a Flame.
Puck drop is at 8:00 tonight on Hockey Night in Canada. Jim Hughson and Craig Simpson should have the call. On the radio, you can catch the game as always on Sportsnet 960 The Fan, with Derek Wills and Peter Loubardias providing commentary.

I like the images Scorpion but is it possible to put them in a spoiler tag going forward?
I only ask because on my phone I just get 20 images stacked vertically. Not a bandwidth issue or anything. On my PC it's no issue.
Might just be me though.

FYI - Canucks aren't 1-0-0
They haven't played yet.
Have they officially changed the lines to have Chiasson with Johnny/Mony?

I hope Johnson can come up huge this game. I thought he was OK in preseason. Playing your first game for your childhood team is a dream come true. I'm especially rooting for him this season because he grew up down the street from me and I remember seeing him play street hockey when I was a kid.
The goaltending reigns seem to have been given to Elliot the day he got traded. But in the perfect world, Johnson plays like he did last season and really gives Elliot a run for his money in net.
