The only reason this idiot feels bad, is because he knows he's jeopardized his business. I hope his business goes bankrupt. And I find it laughable that the majority of the outrage is coming from Calgary/Edmonton commentors, when you look at the FB outrage. The only ones I've seen defending it are.... yup, customers from RD.

You are perfectly entitled to have whatever opinion you want behind closed doors. Although you are entitled to have this opinion on a billboard as well, you are too moronic to own a business and deserve to be shut down if you put it on your front lawn.
I understand the anger. I felt the same way but I realize that, even as a gay man, when I was young I said a bunch of uncool homophobic things and may have hurt people as a result.

I know that the owner has spoken to people from Central Alberta Pride and expressed remorse for it. There is no way to go back in time and avoid putting up that sign but I hope that it has been a learning experience for them and other people who feel similarly.

The diner is in an industrial park in Red Deer County really off the beaten path. Most people in Red Deer probably have no idea it even exists. So I don't think the sign will have an impact on business either way. The slow economy is probably hurting the place more than anything (slower traffic in the park).
