Default Bold Predictions For Flames 2016-17 Season

Bennett and Tkachuk play together, click, and become the most gritty, intense, agitating line to play against in the NHL, all while putting up 50 goals between them and their third line mate.

#13 holds out, fails to sign, and years of service are then argued over by lawyers.

Without his wingman, along with the pressure of his new contract, #23 doesn't hit 20 goals.

In true Fan 960 *bold* prediction fashion...

I predict the Flames trading for one of Yakupov, Nischuskin, or Drouin at some point in the season.

Dennis Wideman is traded for a second and a third and doesn't land an NHL job next year

Flames win ALL their games in which they score more goals than the opposition.
Flames unfortunately do not get the 2 points where they score less than the opposition.
Game #1 will be their first of the regular season.
Game #82 will be their last of the regular season.
Johnny Hockey scores at a $214,285.71 per goal pace.

Rasmus Andersson wins the Calder.
Sam Bennett scores 35 goals.
Monahan is top 5 in faceoff %
Jankowski scores at least 5 goals in the NHL.
Dougie Hamilton scores 15 goals.
Flames win the division.

By the end of the year;

Kulak and Wotherspoon are our bottom pairing and doing quite well.

The line of Tkachuk - Jankowski - Bennett are the talk of the league(for good reasons)

Johnny sits out the first 10 games of the season as his agent tells him to hold out. The Flames go 2-6-2 without Johnny. Trev bends and offers him 7 x 7.5 M. Flames are not much better and are a .500 team for the remainder of the year. Miss the playoffs. However, they finally win in Anaheim as Johnny gets a hat trick.

JG angry about the long contract negotiations, and anxious to fill his stats sheet gets a Gordie Howe Hat trick in Calgary's 9-3 blowout of the Oilers in the opening of their new barn.

Gaudreau goes insane in the brain against McDavid because all he heard during his time with Team NA was Connor this and Connor that and Hey Connor its Mess. So Johnny flattens him and them pulls McDavid's underwear over his head to get the NHL record for most painful wedgie ever.

The next night, 29 teams retire Johnny's number because they were also sick about hearing about McDavid every single damn day. The Oilers of course blame their missed playoff spot on wedgie gate.

After that . . . I got nothing
