So we officially blame trublmaker every time we are standing in a two hour line to take a pee?

If you're truly sorry, I suppose I can forgive you.

I remember watching the battle of Alberta on tv with the VHS remote in my hands. Anxiously Waiting to hit record every time there was a fight.

Pretty crazy that Sid is already pushing 1000 points. I remember watching him get drafted like it was yesterday.

Probably right around that season I remember arguing with my boss (I was a Jr High employee of a grocery store) who was better, Naslund or Iginla. I shamefully took the wrong side. In fairness, before I get jumped on, I was new to Calgary and had not yet solidified my fandom, but embarrassed nonetheless.
At the very least, the store owned season tickets, and he gave me a lot of free tickets, probably the first 3 or 4 games I ever went to were courtesy of him. So at least I was able to learn the error of my ways.

My first autograph was Ed Whalen. Followed by Gilmour, Roberts, Fluery and Niewendyk.

One thing I always find jarring is when a new draft pick starts talking about his favourite players from his childhood and he starts mentioning guys who I still think of as being just new to the league.
For example, in the video with Parsons on the Flames' site, he mentions watching Quick growing up. My first thought was that Quick has only been around a couple of years. Then I realized that Quick has been the Kings' starter for 8 seasons (and first won the Cup 5 seasons ago), and Parsons is only 18, so he's been watching Quick for almost half his life.

How about the way we consume the NHL games has changed in terms of media.
I was born December of 1984. A hockey fan in the 80's/90's would usually only get to watch the odd Flames game on 2&7, most fans turned to either the radio or newspapers for actual hockey news. George Johnson and Eric Duhatchuk were on the newspaper beat.
HNIC would usually only broadcast 1 game back then, usually the Leafs or Habs but we did get some more Oilers/King's games due to #99.
Just the media and coverage of hockey has changed so much. These days with the Game Center Live, internet, cable and tv packages etc, you can literally be a fan of any team and not miss a beat.
Ohh, I also vividly remember my teacher in school wondering why I was literally falling asleep in class during the spring of 94. I told her I stayed up to watch the Flames/Canucks game 7 which probably went past midnight?? She seemed genuinely concerned that my parents had let a 9-year-old stay up that late. I should have told her if she had any beef with anybody, it should have been Pavel Bure and not my parents!!!

If I'm not mistaken, there are only 23 NHL players left that were drafted before the year 2000.
