The timing does not really matter, this was not about a whistle blower opening up about something illegal that relates to the public good, it was about openly venting a grievance related to a professional disagreement.

It was full-on unprofessional, besides, the hero charts and analytics were openly available, he did not even bring anything significantly new to the table.

that makes no sense, if they were moving up to #3 to get JP then once they found out Columbus were going to take Dubois would they then also try to get #4 for JP? Tkachuk would never be in the conversation.

They love Tkachuk and wanted to get him at 6,4,3 whatever.
